"What a perfect place to stay in York.
A very easy stroll into York City. Everything you could want in a stay. Breakfast was very generous. And laundry dervice provided on request."
"The host was very kind and helpful. The Barbican is located just outside the wall, which is brilliant, as inside the walls is quite noisy until very late. We would definitely stay here again!
"
"The hotel is located very close to restaurants, pubs, and a beautiful park right across the street. It’s walkable into the city center with many beautiful sites and attractions."

"The property had an elegance about it that made it very charming. Everything has been kept up really well. The facilities in the room were excellent. The hotel is literally steps away from both the train and bus stations that made it ideal for our travel. The most outstanding thing about the Milner was its staff. They were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help us."
"The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant. The room was clean and well-maintained upon arrival, and the service the next day was truly impressive. Housekeeping did a fantastic job — they cleaned thoroughly, changed the bed linen, and neatly organised everything in the room while we were out.
I had booked a King Size Room with a City View. While the room itself was comfortable and spacious, the view was a bit underwhelming as it included a nearby construction site with a noticeable pile of sand just a few meters below. That was the only slight letdown in an otherwise pleasant stay.
Aside from that, everything was superb — excellent service, cleanliness, and a comfortable stay overall. Thank you to the team for the warm hospitality!"
"We had the standard room which was fine nice and clean, bed very comfy, roof bar and food on roof bar was delicious, all staff in hotel were super friendly, breakfast was amazing, worth every penny. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to York👍"
"Really lovely place to stay on a business trip, very scenic area and beautiful hotel which is not only decorated really well but the staff were really really helpful. "
"Great property. Modern. Quiet. Oldest pub in York next to it a big bonus!
A flat 15 minute walk into centre of town ( not a problem unless you are not mobile)"
"York is a beautiful city in England that reminds me of Greenwich Village in NYC. Fascinating shops, restaurants, with an old world charm. People were friendly and helpful. One of my most favorite places I have visited. Hotel and staff were excellent and helpful."
"Beautiful old world hotel in a great location for exploring York. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful - every staff member we encountered was simply outstanding. "
"Friendly staff were able to accomodate me for an earlier check in. the room was clean and well stocked with drinks and big plus for there being a fridge"
