“We stayed the weekend at Bear Bluff retreat to hike nearby state parks and view the waterfalls. It was perfect! The cabin is exactly as pictured. Everything is new and the amenities are well thought out giving you everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is convenient and the view is spectacular! We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sunsets and peace each evening and a calm cup of coffee each morning. The star gazing is amazing! I haven’t seen that many stars in years.……

“Absolutely wonderful place! Extremely cozy cabin and lovely animals, and of course, the gorgeous lake. We enjoyed the time so much! Kim and Joel are very nice and helpful! Highly recommend for everyone! ”

“This is by far the best place we have stayed in. We were there Aug. 18-23 Our family, daughter, son in law and 2 grands met us there to celebrate husband/dad's retirement. The accommodations were top notch. The enclosed porch was a favorite spot. And with a beautiful kitchen so well equipped there was no reason to go out to eat. ”

“Property was very nice and calm even though it’s on the main highway. Traffic did not disrupt… the cabin is far off the road and blocked by trees. Queen bed comfortable memory foam type mattress. Upstairs mattress could be upgraded. All kitchen amenities were there that we needed. Cable tv but no apps on the tv. Nice back porch I wish we’d used more:)Great proximity to hiking all directions. Get groceries before you check in.Host was very responsive and helpful.”

“This was the perfect stay for me and a friend who were visting the surrounding area for the waterfalls. We mainly needed a place to sleep and this little cabin was perfect. The small kitchen had everything we needed and the shower pressure was better than expected. There wasnt much room for "hanging out" but there was a table outside and a fire pit. The host responded quickly and left clear directions. ”

“I absolutely LOVED this cabin. Nestled in a home community. The property is just stunning and a great place to go for couples or small families to disconnect. The town of Dunlap is super. When we arrived at the cabin, we were surprised and welcomed with a welcome basket. Anything and everything you could possibly need if you thought that you left it at home was available on hand the cabin had condiments, coffee, etc. shampoos conditioner, body wash I could go on. “We stayed for my birthday weekend, and although it rained the full day we were there, I still had a great time! The cabin was cozy, and the view of the water was beautiful. I love the grills with the covered patio, we grilled out food and then sat outside to eat. ”

“I wish it was more private, but I was aware going into it that it wasn't. But I still felt at peace and undisturbed there. It was fun to drive around and look at all the rich cabins and dream of building my own. I especially enjoyed watching the horses. Just a heads up that the directions say don't go to the lodge. We hunted for another place to enter a gate code since we weren't suppose to go there... But we found this means go in the gate and turn right down the road in front of the lodge……
