Carpet was old with soiled spots, old furniture, old looking bedspread, towels. Outside appearance is poor condition. Air conditioner was newer and worked good. Was quiet at night
The Sands, Economy Inn, Coranada, are all owned by the same owners. They are flop houses for the homeless. Old 1960s style. Cheap but if you want to sleep then it is a good deal. Sands is the best of the 3.
We just needed a cheap place to stay overnight, this was honestly nicer than anticipated! Check in was super easy, the front desk lady was super nice. Our room was big! The smoke detector was not attached to the wall and one of the blankets had some stuff on it that made me feel like it hadn’t been washed.
Overall, it was suitable for what we needed!
Room was big. Checkin desk and owner living area is sketchy. Room was clean. Questionable tenants and exterior.

It wasn't a clean facility. The room was poorly cleaned. The sheets were of microfiber. The shower curtains were ripped.
The room had a lot of space. No unpleasant noise. This was the only good thing.
The bed sheets had not changed by housekeeping from previous nights guest. We asked for clean sheets and were given sets that were full of hair and had urine stains on them. We asked to be refunded but management put us in their property next door, The Coronoda,. It was clean but not great.
Do not stay at the Economy Suites. In spite of one employee giving us dirty sheets the management was extremely polite and helpful.
It was not all bad. The water was hot, the bed was comfortable, pillows were good and there were no bugs. Now the bad... right from start room key didnt work. Walked back to desk and door locked with "will be back in 15 minutes" sign. 45 mins later the resident manager pulls up. SHE LEFT! The room had one closet door laying in the closet that had no rod to hang cloths. The vinyl couch had cracks (holes) in every cushion. The lamp shades were old and stained and missing light bulbs. The chairs were old velvet that velvet was worn off, stained badly and had cigarette burns. I had to put a towel on them to sit. Speaking of towels, I'm sure at one time they were white but now are gray. Tiles cracked or loose throughout. Tub corners filthy. Sink stopper broken. Waste basket filthy. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $5-10 and go somewhere else.
I normally don’t leave reviews and give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt…but this time it is needed. I’ve stayed in old hotels before but they can still be clean. This hotel is old and in VERY poor condition. It was filthy. The chairs in the room were so dirty we didn’t sit on them. The floor had sticky spots, the bathroom was old and dirty and the grout was gross. The towels were all stained. The door lock fell out of the door onto the floor. I asked for help with it and the manager came and said it’s fine, if I locked it from the inside it’s okay. I’m pretty sure someone could’ve used a screwdriver from the outside to break in but thankfully that didn’t happen. The next day I noticed other doors missing the lock part of their door.
On the positive side- the staff was nice when we asked for towels and hand towels. It had hot water and the heater worked well.
Breakfast is at the motel next door and it’s very minimal… waffles, white bread, cereal, oatmeal. No protein or fruit. They were nice enough to let us use the toaster outside of breakfast hours to toast some bagels.
The owners really need to revamp this motel, throw away the nasty furniture and microwave from 1982 and clean the place up.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay this is not it. They are connecting rooms so walls are thin and you can hear your neighbor which most likely lives there since this is an extended stay type of motel. The bed cover was stained with possible blood and other fluids .
This place needs to be shut down. There were stains all over the bedspreads, walls were filthy, a smell of cigarette smoke was coming through the vent when we walked in, it was in terrible condition. We walked in and felt sick to our stomachs, walked out, and handed back the key. The front desk lady was nice.
