"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"La Terra Resort is a unique and beautiful crafted, peaceful boutique hotel that we had a delight to stay at during our outdoors exploration, and trek along parts of the Nakesando Trail. La Terra Resort didn’t disappoint, nestled amongst a beautiful quiet valley setting, tucked under the edge of the forest canopy and surrounded by farmed land, land that served to us our daily meals, with fresh homegrown produce. "A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience.
