“Very cute and cozy cabins. Simple. Had all the basics you could need for a weekend trip. We came out of season for some winter hiking and the waterfalls nearby. The guide in the room was informational about where things were and what we could do.”

“Liked the small town and out of the way location. It is on a main highway which allowed us to easily drive everywhere. Bond Falls is a must see and is only a few minutes drive. ”

“We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Penny house! The Host was very responsive and the house was super clean and well stocked. The grill out in the backyard and the seating by the fire pit was great! It was also really nice to have access to the garage. The location is perfect for whatever activity you choose. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!”

“Very private setting and extremely quiet. On dead end road and very little traffic. The small lake is a gem, particularly because there are no motorboats. Access to hiking, including in the Sylvania Wilderness, is a real plus. For folks looking for a true northwoods getaway free from noise, traffic and crowds and surrounded by natural beauty, this place qualifies.”

“This was an annual fishing trip with the guys. We have been going on an annual trip since 1989 (started with camping, graduated to cabins). This was one of the best places we stayed. We had seven adult males, and there was just enough room for all of us (although I am not sure how much longer we can utilize the bunk beds). The place was very clean and it had everything we needed for a good time to be had by all. We did catch fish and utilized the fish cleaning house. The dock was large enough……

“We had a wonderful time up at this Lac Vieux Desert cabin. Beautifully upgraded, very clean, great layout. While the driveway down to the lake is very steep, the heights of the cabin give great views of the lake. We loved sitting out on the deck and and enjoyed sunsets out on the dock -- even caught several fish right off the dock! We definitely hope to return!”
