The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel and the room it was in was beautiful with all of the windows and sunlight. Beautiful clean rooms. "Good luck flushing the toilet. Overall, this property was ok. Not bad, not good...middling. It was quite clean so kudos for that. The TV works and the staff is good. But note that it is quite worn down. I think it's mostly for long term construction workers and that type of guest, so nothing fancy but a roof when needed. However, the button to flush the toilet is on top of the tank and some goofball built a vanity shelf over the tank with about an inch, if that, to get your finger in. It's ridiculous. "

Loved the proximity to the public beach, playground, splash pad, and Abbot’s - while remaining a very peaceful retreat. "We had a great 4 days here. The pictures don’t really show you that you have about 12 to 15 feet of sand before the lake starts. Our kids played on the beach for hours each day. Super quiet neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. Kim was right on top of things when we asked for a rake for the beach, she brought one over within 15 minutes. Overall an amazing experience."
"Checkin process was smooth and easy and the agent was very friendly and attentive. Room was clean and quiet. The courtyard area was a nice place to relax with some coffee. It was nice to stay in a full service Marriott with complimentary coffee and wifi. We had a nice chat with the engineer as well. We would stay here again. "

"This cottage home was quaint, very warm and welcoming and had amazing views of Lake Ontario. The host provided coffee, toiletries, a well stocked kitchen and lots of extras. It was the perfect place for our sisters weekend. :)"
"I enjoyed my stay. The lockbox was hard to open, but it did open. The bed is comfortable, the ac and heat were easy to regulate, the icemaker worked great (many rentals have broken ice dispensers), the TV, fridge, stove and dishwasher are all new. But the best part is the screen porch with views of the lake, a fox family, deer, turtles and swallows. I would have liked some outside chairs and a grill, but you can't have everything. "

"The property sits on a nice corner near the edge of the lake. There was no umbrella or shade cover over the back deck and the weather was warm, sunny and beautiful and this would have made it perfect. The amenities listed a fire pit and the picture showed chairs around the front deck (that deck was still empty). That being said there were chairs on the back deck, which provided a relaxed view of the morning sunrise, while sipping on coffee. Evenings were wonderful, as well with snacks and beverages. A second bedroom, rather than an uncomfortable pull-out would make this the perfect place! I emailed a couple minor things, for the owner's awareness and got an immediate response. Overall, we enjoyed it very much! Great kitchen!!"

Cheryl, the owner, was extremely responsive and she checked in via email several times to see how our stay was and if we needed anything. The location was an easy drive into the university and very close to Lake Ontario and restaurants. "

"The place was just ok...first impression was the smell...very strong of Indian food. Not real happy about that. We were driving 5 hours to get to the location and 4 pm was late for us to arrive but we were sent a message from what seemed to be a robot that we were not allowed an early check in. Obviously we were disappointed. Check out is 10am. Then we received a message about the neighborhood warning us not to go on the beach certain places because it was private property...when we got there the property that the message(that we could not respond to because it was automated) was talking about was obviously private. There were signs everywhere. Also only one tv in the whole place. One thing that we liked was the location. It was nice. "

"House was great for 4 people. Owner left snacks, water, coffee and plenty of towels. House is older, so lots of floor creaking but other than that a nice place. Couch could be a bit more comfortable but there were plenty of places to sit. I would definitely recommend if you want a house near the beach. Short walk to pier, plenty of places to eat, and Abotts frozen custard. "
