“Extremely welcoming to pets. Hotel provided a comfy dog bed, blanket, feeding mat, water bowl and a doggy welcome box complete with treats and toy. Very impressed. Only area pet not allowed was actual restaurant which was absolutely fine as all other areas were perfect. Thank you Royal George for a lovely stay.”

Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of continental options, fresh juices, and hot dishes — a really well-rounded and satisfying start to the day. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was equally enjoyable. The food and atmosphere were both lovely. The accommodation was surprisingly spacious and private. The hotel……

“The rooms were a bit dated but were in keeping with the old building. The room was big, with a couple of chairs by the window to admire the view. Everything worked and was clean and tidy.”

“A very cosy hotel with absolutely fabulous views. The family room was really spacious, with a comfortable double bed and a single, giving us plenty of room to relax. Although the hotel itself is a little outdated, the stunning views more than make up for it and add to the overall charm. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended for comfort and scenery”
