Walk on a glass floor high above the city or stroll underwater. Both are possible when you visit this district that has many interesting features.

Toronto Entertainment District in Canada’s largest city has enough attractions for every taste. The iconic CN Tower rises into the sky for 1,815 feet (553 meters). Its popular Glass Floor and Sky Terrace overlook the ground far below. Take the adventure farther, with the extreme attraction EdgeWalk, a hands-free walk outside the tower. Near the tower, walk under water at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. Watch fish, including sharks, swim over your head in this large walk-through tank.

While exploring this area of Old Toronto, look for sidewalk sections with names of Canadians who have influenced the country’s history, culture, sports and business. Canada’s Walk of Fame spreads over two streets. One section is in front of the Royal Alexandra Theatre and the Princess of Wales Theatre. Find the second street around the corner in front of the Roy Thomson Hall where the Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs.

Watch a movie at the Scotiabank Theatre Toronto with its 14 auditoriums including an IMAX screen. For a night of improv, attend The Second City or other comedy show venues.

During baseball season, watch a Major League Baseball game featuring the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre near the CN Tower. In colder months, the Toronto Maple Leafs plays hockey at the Scotiabank Arena.

Before or after a show or game, finding a place to eat or drink in the district is easy. Travel toward the lakefront to breweries including the Steam Whistle Biergärten. It’s located beside the Toronto Railway Museum where there’s an interesting inventory of locomotives and cars. Many of the displays are in a large roundhouse with a working turntable. In warmer months, enjoy the popular miniature train ride, one of many things to do in the area.

Drive from Toronto Pearson International Airport to the Toronto Entertainment District in about 20 minutes or travel by the express train in about 30 minutes. Walk to many of the major attractions within the neighborhood.
