Comfy house but needs some improvements
My family of 5 stayed in this house with friends of ours who are also a family of 5. Kids ranged in age from 7 to 14. The house was a comfy home base with plenty of space while we skied Vail, Beaver Creek & Breck. We especially appreciated the large kitchen table and great mattresses. We could tell that the home was well cared for and had everything we needed. We did have a few hiccups though. Upon check in, the lock box with the key was empty. I was in touch with someone from the management company via text and after a couple hours of being assured that someone would be coming, they gave us the garage code. We stayed at the house Sunday through Friday and did not receive a key until Wednesday. Thankfully the garage code was reliable and the power never went out. I would recommend an electronic keypad at the front door. I’ve stayed at numerous rentals with that set up and it was great from a renter’s perspective. When we finally got into the house, there was no water. I texted the property management company and their solution was to ask us if we had tried turning on the water. If the company knew that someone would be staying in the house, shouldn’t the water be on?! The garbage can in the garage was full and we ended up piling bags around the can all week. The drain in the upper en suite bathroom was slow and needs to be repaired. The basement bedroom was SO HOT and both windows in the bedroom had broken cranks. It was a great house but needs a little TLC.
