Hali'i Kai is a gated community located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area,
approximately 18 miles from the Kona Airport.

Weekly and monthly discounts are available.

Our Hale, unit 13, includes fold-a-way Panoramic doors, replacing a traditional sliding glass door that only allows minimal views and access. When these panoramic doors are open, there are unobstructed oceanfront and coastal views.

Our Hale, which was a showcase model for the Hali'i Kai Mahana Design, includes approximately 1,100 S.F. of living space, as well as a 125 S.F. Lanai. There is tile & engineered hardwood flooring throughout, black-out window treatments in each En-Suite bedroom with privacy doors. Both bedrooms have a deep Ultra-Plush Orthopedic foam mattress. There are flat screen televisions and ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living area, with high-speed wireless internet.

The well-equipped kitchen includes stainless steel Sub-Zero refrigerator, professional grade Wolf cooktop, oven and microwave, Bosch dishwasher, coffee maker with bean grinder. Also, available for your use are Binoculars and a small Telescope, misc. games and books.

Available for our guests: Beach and pool items, snorkel gear (including fins), beach chairs, beach umbrella, Beach throws and towels, Boogie boards, cooler with cold packs. Tennis & Pickle Ball equipment, Basketball and Golf putters.

Also, the Hale has conveniently close parking for two cars (tandem parking). Additional guest parking is close by.

The Hali'i Kai Ocean Club features a large multi-level swimming pool, a heated spa with a pebble bottom and a beautiful workout facility with oceanfront views. There is a private restaurant with poolside bar, and also a BBQ'ing area. Tennis, pickle, and basketball courts are also available at the resort. Hali'i Kai charges a MANDATORY $25 resort fee daily per unit (not per guest). The resort fee is paid directly to Hali'i Kai at check in. This fee allows access to the Halii Kai complex amenities including the pool, towels, restaurant and fitness center located within Hali'i Kai. The Ocean Club is a 1-2 minute walk from our Hale.

Just a short distance away are the Kings and the Queens Shopping Centers with a wide range of restaurants and a complete collection of shops, galleries, boutiques, grocery store and a wine tasting room.

Amazing location

Terrific views from the lanai. The unit is well-appointed with high-end appliances and nice finishes all around. Also excellent location next to the community pool/fitness center and restaurant. Had a great stay. The condo was absolutely perfect and the resort pool with the club house was an added bonus! We traveled with two other families that had ocean side condos and everyone agreed that this one was the best!

Absolutely Perfect

Everything about this property is perfect. Location can’t be beat. Property amenities are ample. Restaurant and pool are right around the corner. Order the green beans. Trust me. The hosts have just enough of everything you might need to make the stay easy, sunscreen beach things, simple everyday needs that you hate to buy and leave behind. Lots of great information in their book. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful Hali’i Kai

Hali’i Kai is our favorite place to stay on the Big Island, and it doesn’t get any better than this unit. It is beautifully situated right on the ocean. We watched humpback whales breaching and took in the sun sets from the lanai. It is conveniently adjacent to to the pools as well. Our family had a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to return again next year.

Amazing Property

This property will not disappoint. We were on the run exploring the Island and every time we came back to the condo it was so nice, relaxing, comfortable and absolutely beautiful. We relaxed by the pool a few times which was wonderful as well. If we go back to the Big Island, I would not stay anywhere else.

Gorgeous ocean front views from high end condo in building right next to Ocean Club for pool, work out or a meal at the restaurant. Convenient to nearby beaches, shops or golf. We are missing our morning coffee on the lovely outside patio!

Awesome Visit To Hali'i Kai

This was our second visit to Hali'i Kai, and our first stay in this particular unit. Doug/Vicki were great hosts, and were very communicative during the whole process. Unit was better than advertised, and the views were incredible. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return in the future.

Ocean Views and everything you need!

This wonderful condo was amazing for my wife and another couple who stayed with us. Everything in the condo was clean and worked great. The views from the Lanai are top notch and the sunsets are great. The Ocean side pool and restaurant just steps away make this community one of a kind. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Visit to the Big Island

My wife and I chose to celebrate a milestone anniversary staying in Doug and Vicki’s oceanfront Hale. A welcome basket of snacks greeted us as we arrived. The location and unobstructed view directly to the ocean could not have been better. The two large windows in the master bedroom also faced the ocean. Whale watching was a daily event from the lanai. There was a sense of peaceful privacy. The kitchen was bright and had modern appliances. We didn’t really do any cooking, but we could have with fully stocked pots pans, utensils, silverware and glassware. Ocean Club access which included a very nice restaurant with weekend live music, pool and exercise facility were a great convenience not to mention just a short 2 minute walk from the front door. Beach equipment including chairs and towels were provided. We would highly recommend this Hale. Book early, it is very popular. Mahalo Doug and Vicki for your thoughtful hospitality.

We’ll Be Back

We enjoyed our stay-it was more than perfect. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the lanai every morning. That view! The beds were comfortable (so important on vacation) and the unit gave us enough space to spread out. We really liked the extra touches and the availability of being able to borrow some equipment during our adventures. The Ocean Club & pool is literally a 1 minute walk away. No need to worry about parking or walking in the dark. A perfect place to stay for our family!

Great views, great location

This is our second time at Halii Kai, we really like this condo location. It's gated, it has an amazing ocean front pool and restaurant which is very convenient. This condo was great! Clean, and offered beach towels and some beach gear. The beds werent comfortable for us, we like firmer, these you sort of sink into, but I realize a bed preference can be a hard match. There was only 2 of us but this was a great Floorplan for 2 couples offering privacy from eachother. They gave us a card and welcome gift for our anniversary trip which was a nice gesture:)

The best of all possible worlds.

First, the location is excellent. Less than 30 minutes to Kona, Waimea, and the best beaches on the island. The unit is pristine, and appointed to feel like home. You can tell the owners love their hale and want us to enjoy it as much as they do. Note on the unit itself: this downstairs unit is one of three ‘waterside’ buildings in the development, which makes it particularly desirable. Being able to walk outside in the evening onto the lawn and watch the sunset is what a vacation like this should be all about.

Great condo

Great condo and location so nice watching the sunset every night from the Lani. The condo is beautiful with everything you would need with high end amenities. The hosts were also great to deal with….Only draw back was the pool at the complex owned by someone else they has very strict rules no outside food or drink, not even a water bottle. And no flotation for adults not even a small noodle. There is a bar and restaurant at the pool if you need water or food but a bit pricey. There is a nice workout area by the pool with high end equipment as well….overall a great stay!

Beautiful water side Condo

From the time we entered the property it didn't disappoint. Beautifully lovely common areas, beautifully landscaped and maintained.the road leads right to the condo with easy access.. Once we entered we were overwhelmed by how close we were to the water where we were immediately greeted by the full breach of a whale! Many more sightings followed. Rooms were nicely decorated.The kitchen is fully appointed with top of the line equipment. And best of all the pool is just a short walk away. Having stayed here before [3 yrs ago], enjoyed this visit we keep it on our list for a future trip to the Big Island.

Outstanding unit in a spectacular location. Note VRBO did not disclose fees requested be paid upon check-in. Suggest clearer statement be made in listed information PRIOR to reservation deposit being made. This is not a drawback to this owner. VRBO should be disclosing all fees.

Exceptional! I'll be back...

I have previously visited the Big Island and this is my second time staying in this property. It is outstanding. The oceanfront views are not to be had anywhere else. The unit has been recently renovated with new furniture and flooring. It is one of the premiere locations in "Hali'i Kai" John was very helpful kind and accomodating. He asked me multiple times if there is anything to improve, I couldn't come up with anything. I am sure I will be back in the near future.
