We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also ate in the Bar on 2 occasions and again the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a great slection of food.The Hotel is very traditional and has a lot of character, we will hopefully return one day and would recommend to anyone who would like to be within 15 mins of the centre of Funchal but still stay in a "little oasis".

Spacious room, wonderful breakfast, well located. Hotel parking lot nearby. Although it is indicated that space is limited we cane with two cars and had no problem.

This is a 5-star hotel all around! Even as an American with high standards this hotel is just amazing. The interior or lobby and everything is wow. And rooms are very clean and awesome service. Ah and also the health spa with whirlpool and sauna and steam room. The best after a long day of Touring. Seriously. This is a top hotel!
