Spa was excellent...food was good....the toilet in our room was not working properly the entire stay. Even when they sent maintenance to "fix it' Really the only issue we had.For over a $2200k price for 4 night stay ww expeected better due to the reviews.

The rooms were great and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Tony.. tony is a character... not the funny kind. So he had me and my boyfriend sign up for an hour long time share type thing in exchange for a tequila tour and spa.. so we did it... the time share thing..said no.. no problem.. but when it came to the tour.. the tour was an hour late.. it was my birthday that we set it up on... and they never showed.i asked tony before it was time for the tour if we were in the right spot and he said he said yes they were coming.. they never did. Somw martha lady showed up an hour an a half later stating she never knew we were suppose to go on this tour... ok.. so there was miscommunication between tony and martha... martha then said she would take us out on the next tour day.. and she again..never showed. So tony got us lol. We did a time share presentation just for me to pay 50$ for a spa day..
Other than this big mishap... it was a great stay. Juss... dont believe tony when he says stuff

My favorite thing about this resort was their staff. Cris was the first person I encountered and she was the sweetest. My sister has gestational diabetes and she took the time to make her a natural sugar free lemonade. My sister looked for her all weekend and she was always happy to make her the lemonade.

Carlos at the buffet bar
Jacki and Rio at Guacamole
Lalo, Wilbur, Maribel, & Polo down at the pool bars
Nelson at the lobby bar.
We were bummed we didn't have access to the club and pool parties next door due to remodeling but overall great first experience at a resort.

This property is beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room was great and the bed very comfortable. The pool area is great! The spa was my favorite…the whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic…I’d highly recommend Shanti for your massage. The food was delicious. It was fun seeing all the iguanas. The only bummer was they were doing some work on the property so strong paint odors and drilling noise but, it is the off season so I figured.
