Scottish Highlands Ski Vacations

This is a very nice property. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great! Nice big room with comfortable bed. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because our non-smoking room reeked of smoke. I might be extra sensitive, but my nose stuffed and I had throat irritation through the evening. We were so tired when arriving I didnt say anything to staff about it, but some good air fresheners and a thorough fumigating of the curtains seems in order. While having nothing to do with the hotel itself; the stretch of the A82 which this hotel is located along is probably the most treacherous road I've ever driven in my 61 years, including lots of European driving. I would highly suggest getting a ride to the property if you want to stay here!

The hotel is located right by River Ness and is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend this hotel

Fabulous! We loved staying at Culloden House. Our room was spacious, comfortable and lovely. The bathroom was spacious, luxurious and had lots of scented soaps, etc for our use. When we arrived early for our stay, our bags were taken up to our room us for us once it was ready. We came back later to find our room had been prepared for our evening with a nice turn down service. The hotel is very historic and reflects the importance of its place in the local history. We ate breakfast and one dinner there and the food was excellent and plentiful. The service staff was attentive, thoughtful and friendly. We walked around the Walled Garden one evening and were mesmerized by the beauty we found there. It is magical. Overall, this is ranks as a top 10 stay during our trip to Scotland.

This hotel is in a great location but as other have mentioned it is dated. The staff were kind but not particularly knowledgeable. The room was large and relatively comfortable with a great view of the River Ness.
