My children and I spent 10 days here in late December 2023 to the first week of January while dropping my daughter off at University of Victoria. I was hesitant to book this because I had some concerns after reading the reviews online. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and the property in general. Our stay was amazing. This is a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and great accommodations. It is in a great location to walk to the harbor and near the Christ Church Cathedral and adjacent park & playground. The breakfast is wonderful with lots of choices and options. Our travel experience was definitely improved by staying here.

Beautiful historic home with tastefully furnished Old World style decor, but very modern up to date bathrooms. A little ways out of town, but I came on a bike trip without a car and it still worked out fine to bike to and from downtown Victoria.

Breakfast was delicious! Very quiet and beautiful property and it was a beautiful week in Victoria. We enjoyed having our coffee outside listening to all the birds. The hot tub in the evening was very relaxing Can't wait until we can visit again.

Whats not to like? Great location, super accommodating owners, Clean, well appointed rooms and comfortable beds. Even received an free upgrade to the suite! and a ride to the airport We would rate it SIX STARS! ******

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! It was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The romantic atmosphere made it the perfect place to celebrate our 5-year anniversary. Highly recommend!

Room 505 served us as there were three of us. The king bed felt like I was sleeping alone! So comfortable. The street and marine view was relaxing not only from our big windows but also from our balcony. All areas of the suite were very clean. One item I forgot to tell the staff were the carpet pins on exiting the balcony and also at the entrance of the kitchen. I knew to wear my indoor shoes. But I'm sure the staff will hammer these areas once reading this.

Had the best time. Rooms very clean and fun. Pool was a blast for the kids and grandma’s basement was so fun for the kids and adults. Would gladly stay here again.

The James Bay Inn is my go-to hotel in Victoria, BC! I absolutely love it! The location got me in the door, and the staff and the way they took care of me and the hotel have kept me coming back for a while now! The Inn and grounds are very clean and always well maintained, the rooms are well appointed, and the team is always right there to help when needed! Excellent location. About a 10 minute walk to central downtown. Property is right on the water with very good walking trails. The bakery in the lobby is incredible.

What a pleasant surprise for a last minute trip booking to find myself at this Bed and Breakfast this past weekend. Peaceful location, EXCELLENT breakfast, wonderful company, and our host was delightful. I understand that while the owners are at their other B&B she hosts during the winter season. We were housed in the Belleville building - great room, high ceilings, excellent bed, comfortable sofa, spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast is extremely good. Our one dislike - the walls are extremely thin and we could hear every word the guest in the next room said. (Fortunately, she wasn't a big talker!) Still, we were glad to stay in this lovely historic house.

Couldn't be more perfect stay in Victoria. Host and his wife were warm and provided impeccable service. Food was outstanding. Couldn't recommend more highly for the staff as well as the accommodations. Can't wait to return.
