I booked a night here since it was close to the airport and our accommodations for the trip were far and we we’re arriving very late. I called ahead let them know of our late arrival. The staff overall was very friendly. The property was fixed up nicely, good secure lockers, and fun things to do in Hilo. The free tours were a great surprise. Booked this room thru Expedia 10 minutes before showing up at the place. We were warmly greeted by the owners and they assisted us in taking our luggage in. They let us chose between the 2 rooms they had available. They were amazing hosts. They offered us hot and cold beverages and snacks. They even drove us into town and dropped us off. Very peaceful, quiet and clean!

Large clean room with access via a veranda to a tree shaded backyard with tables and a barbeque. Best breakfast with a variety of generous choices of eggs, meats , fruits or cereals, jams and cream cheese ( whatever is in the fridge as a fair game). Blonde lady in the gift shop not friendly when checking in and out. She was talking to another male employee about other employees. Discuss business about training modules. Not friendly at all. Did not feel welcomed at all. In fact felt we we interrupting her day and she did not want to be bother with us. Spend a lot of money to stay her and was not welcomed. I wanted to purchase several items in the gift shop and passed.

Clean, friendly and a beautiful view of the ocean.

No bells or whistles - basic accommodation. Had free breakfast which was good but had weird system. Still we were able to eat enough.

We stayed in the Ohia Ranch Retreat room. This was easily the most beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. The aesthetic of the stained wood beams, hard wood floors and furnishings was outstanding. Was with daughter and grand twin girls in there big rental house for week near Pahoa by coast. Decided to stay extra 5 days on short notice as Kilauea volcano was lighting up Lava lake. Did not need 400$ nite place as by myself. Found Hilo Vacation Rental at 85$ nite on Expedia for room queen bed, lots of storage, Tv, internet fast and porch area French doors to dry snorkel stuff. Was shared common areas and bath was very nice and never had problem with guests as seems was always available....

Loved the profoundly peaceful location, could hike to and swim under beautiful waterfall on site. Only sounds were of nature. 4 miles from funky town of Hilo, which we also really liked. If you want a unique experience with then this is the place for you. Volcano Inn is located in the middle of the rainforest, which is amazing. Jon and Lauren were friendly and super helpful. It was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be returning!
