Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels. Would give five stars of there were an elevator but overall it was lovely for a cheap overnight. Charmingly, they still use actual room keys rather than keycards, which I enjoyed.

This isn't an elegant hotel, but we thought it was very good for the money we paid. It's located between 2 parks (1 right next door, the other about 1/2 mile in the other direction.

Even though the Hotel is older, the place was clean and the views are awesome!! Staff was friendly and they have everything you need. We didn't use the pool but the kids were having fun when we came back from dinner! No AC/Elevator but we knew that! Will stay again!

We loved our time at Reeds Bay Hotel. We got an ocean view which helped to keep it comfortable at night considering there is no air conditioning, as most in Hawaii do not have or use air conditioning. We slept well and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. Banyan Drive is beautiful and places you close to all things you would want to do and see in Hilo.

The room was clean. The check in lady was friendly and it all went smoothly. Location is great. We enjoyed sitting on the waterfront, and seeing turtles swimming. Parking was not an issue for us. The room has a ceiling fan, two stand up fans, and windows can open to bring fresh air in. My son used their wifi which worked better than my AT&T data plan. Not a fancy hotel but very affordable.

We booked same day and had a room on the second floor with a king bed and balcony view right over the water! A beautiful view & the sound of the ocean was incredible to sleep to. Quiet cleaning service in the morning that doesn’t start until around 8:30-9am. For an older building, it’s well taken care of and very clean. Close to downtown Hilo, but fairly secluded from city traffic. Will definitely stay again!

Clean room, okay for a night stay, especially if you're just in town to visit the volcanoes and Hilo. Walls of room look like prison brick walls. Bed was pretty firm and uncomfortable. Bay view was great and no issues without AC since there is a ceiling fan as well as a standing fan. plus if you just leave the balcony screen door open, the nice bay breeze comes in and the calming sounds of the bay. Rooms and corridors need some TLC and sprucing up. Front desk staff provided a smooth check in and check out process.
