Last-minute hotel deals in Yufu

Wonderful ryokan stay at Yufuin Kutsurogi no Yado Nanakawa. The location is very convenient, close to Yufuin Floral Village, quaint shops, and many restaurants. We enjoyed the half-board stay, and the food was sumptuous and beautifully prepared. The room was peaceful and comfortable, with a relaxing private onsen. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy the charm of Yufuin.

Very nice amenities and great view! Unfortunately, when we arrived, we didn’t know which home we were staying in. We just tried the pin at each of the lockboxes until it worked. It was later that we realized each of the homes had a different name (Pool, Sauna, Garden, etc.) The hot springs tub was lovely and my kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. This was the first time my best friend Lina and I had stayed at a ryokan, and although it was a perfect trip overall, the only difficult part was walking up the hill to the ryokan with our luggage. First off let me preface this by saying that you have to be open minded. Some foreigners want to go to a place and have it be just like home but in another country. If you are looking for a western style hotel that has a happening nightlife and tons of bars and people around, then this is not the place for you. Beautiful property surrounded by nature. Relaxing atmosphere. Wonderful meals prepared by master chef. Attentive staff and excellent service.

The property itself was super spacious. The best part was using the whole building to our own. We didn’t get bothered from anyone, nor did we bother someone else. The Onsen was also very enjoyable. I would definitely come back here with my family again.

Very interesting landscape and loved the osen. It is one of the few private osens where I could bathe with my partner. One thing that should be made clear on the Expedia description is that you can only pay with cash!

Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel in Beppu. From arrival to departure the staff, including Mr. Ohkubo, provided exceptional hospitality and service.
