"Our stay was great. Our only disappointment was when we checked in and we had an additional $30 added on to our bill for the "happy hour" that was already advertised on our reservation. We were told that since it was done through a "third party" we still had to pay an ADDITIONAL $30. But, everything was great while we were there."

"I visit San Clemente area annually and stay at the Casablanca. It is located close to the beaches and stores. Customer service is friendly, personal, and they ensure needs are met! Beds are comfortable and units are clean. I usually get the second floor with balcony overlooking the patio. The patio is refreshing with palm trees, fountain, and table and chairs. I am never disappointed. They were doing renovations to the area where breakfast is provided, so the normal breakfast wasn't the usual. But breakfast food was provided which offered an array of breakfast items to choose from."

"An excellent hotel, centrally situated to shops and Newport center business district. Spacious rooms with thoughtful amenities. The bar is very popular with the young in-crowd and shouldn’t be missed if you’re staying over the weekend. Staff are attentive and accommodating, Steve, one of the concierge staff, is extremely professional and ready to assist with any requirements one may have. The front desk team are all thoroughly professional and ready with a warm welcome. I’ve stayed at the Pelican on prior visits but have to admit that this is now my go to residence when in Newport Beach."
