Million Dollar View on a Thousand Dollar Budget

Pros: We loved the view, the food was better than we were expecting, the beaches were clean, Esteban at the beach bar was awesome! He needs a raise!
Cons: They need softer mattresses, Free Wifi in rooms, hotter water (it was warm, but not hot), comfortable chairs in room. The chairs were not comfy.
Location: Cancun! Beach on site, right next to Isla Mujeres ferry, short drive to Puerto Morelos (we loved it!) and don't miss Tulum!
We had a great time at this hotel. We stayed during Spring Break, but it was our anniversary so we went anyway. We were pretty nervous thinking we were going to run into a bunch of partying college students. Not at this hotel! Most of the crowd were people between late 20's on up into folks in their 80's. The breakfast was excellent. The lunch and dinners were good too, although I did not enjoy Italian night or Asian night. Why they don't do Mexican food every night is beyond me. When I go to Mexico, I want to eat Mexican food. I guess I'm not gringo enough to appreciate it. The room was fine, except for the bed. OMG, the bed was SO HARD! It was like sleeping on plywood with a thin sheet of foam. What we loved best about the room was the view. We had an ocean view and it was truly amazing. Any discomfort with the bed was outweighed by the view. When we got there, the AC seemed to not be working, but we know window units and it was just frozen. We turned it off and let it thaw and it worked just fine for the rest of the week. They have free Wifi by the restaurant and by the circular pool, but not in the rooms.

Disgusting, scary, broken everything. No towels.

Rat cat bait motel. No phones in room. Creepy dark room with animals roaming about. No putside food or drinks. Pictures don't do justice how run down and scary this place is. Paid almost 200 american for a shady broken down room for one night and left the next morning... Beware!

Got it for 240 a night got charged 100 extra a night, my buddy saw a cockroach. Food was decent and beach was tiny. Volleyball was fun and they have shows every night.

Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, great activities directer, comfortable beds, clean rooms and facilities. The resort layout was great.
Cons: Hot water would be nice (lukewarm at best). Better maintenance overall.
Location: Great location, scuba dive center across the street, 5 min. away. Great beach, bungee jump, ferry dock, essentially, all just outside your door.
First of all, I would like to impress on anyone reading this, that I am NOT a typical complainer. I am a very tolerant person, and when I book a 2.5 star hotel, I expect a budget hotel. What I don't expect however, is air conditioners that don't work, light bulbs that either don't work, or are missing completely, occasionally, no new/clean replacement towels after your room is made up, going to the buffet for breakfast and getting your meal, then standing in line to get a coffee cup because of an obvious chronic shortage of that simple item. It's not the staff's fault. They should be commended for working under management who can't even figure out that when there's a daily line up for a coffee cup, the simple answer is to go out and buy two dozen more. Again, I want to emphasize that initially, I gave management the benefit of the doubt. But, my tolerance waned as I began to recognize their apathy. It's comical to witness the effort they put into giving their guests a genuine Mexican cultural experience, yet not meet the basic needs of those same guests.

Falta personal, las instalaciones están supongo en remodelación. según el programa tenia derecho a 2 comidas de espadas y nunca llegaron, Dan la impresión que todo lo tienen vigilado y no puedes quitarte la sensación que tendras que pagar un extra. Las bebidas limitadas y rebajadas si quieres algo mejor tiene un costo adicional. La ubicación es excelente y por lo que pague, me siento incomodo.

Location: location not bad, but few options to dine out. I had to drive to downtown Cancun to eat.
Location not bad but service terrible. Checking Staff said I "was supposed to print my confirmation and bring with me" that was not mentioned online. Amenities nothing to what is describe on website. Room had no towels. I called to request and they deliver to room 24hrs after. No phones in room to contact front desk. I had to use my USA cell and roaming minutes to be calling front desk every time for service. Shower not working, no hot water and there were lizards slipping inside room thru bathroom window. I called at 10pm to request for iron and board nicely provided by 7am, I had to walk to from desk at 12 noon time because no one knew where the iron and board was. Was provided with ONLY iron no board. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, I asked the minimum they could do to compensate is provide me with fre WI FI to take care of my business from the room or lobby, they refused and service was even worst. Thank heaven for EXPEDIA whom I called and express my dissatisfaction and were able to cancell my remaining stay because I had found a 5 star hotel for the same price here. Expedia negotiated my cancellation with this hotel and made my transition smoothly.

Pros: - Beach accessible - Playa Tortugas beach is really nice. - Lawn. It was relaxing with the cool breeze from sea. - Tour agents. Club agents.
Cons: Lot. The hotel is part of Dos Playas. They can merge
Location: Located on Hotel zone KM 6.5, Playa Tortugas beach is nice. The ferry to Isla Muheras is beside this hotel.
- The room looks dingy, unclean and old. - AC sounds like an industry turbine - the glass door is the least secured I have seen in my entire life. - Wifi is not available at rooms. - We requested staffs to shift us to wifi accessible rooms but (a) their response was rude (b) we didn't get - Most of the staffs do not understand English. - Those who prefer veg food, look for food outside. Vegan - Do I need to say more? :D Learning: Looks are deceptive. Do not judge by the pictures. Stay at recommended hotels if you are going to Cancun, even if they are expensive. I would NOT recommend you guys to stay here.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They really go out the way because of having to make up for there facility. Everything was clean but location is old and outdated but for price of everything around it. Ill stay again simply because I travel alon and enjoy my time out in town. Its not place to lounge and be comfortable with a lady. If your high on the horse dont stay you are just going to be let down. For you rolling stones who just want to shower, sleep and change and hit the town and enjoy cancun for the price and location its the spot!

Poor Hotel, Decent Value

The place is really run down, but the price was much less than anything else on a beach during Christmas week. The AC was extremely noisy. The beds are ok. The maids did a decent job. Breakfast buffet was ok. It was nice being so close to a quiet beach, probably a 50 meter walk in one minute. They must want to sell the property because they could spend a little on updates and maintenance and have a nice place.

En lineas generales por su ubicacion, atencion del personal y limpieza de las habitaciones es un buen lugar para quedarse, lo que si observamos es que el hotel esta un poco descuidado en sus instalaciones externas y uno que otro detalle en las habitaciones, aunque durante nuestra visita pudimos observar que se estan haciendo mejoras en las estructuras del mismo
