"Beautiful and charming hotel"
Everything with this hotel was fantastic. We had a beautiful room, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful - we were even able to check-in early which was great as we were keen to get showered, cleaned and start exploring. The hotel is really tucked away on a typical quaint Venice street, whilst still being in such a central location - we were minutes from Rialta Bridge and St. Marks Square. The hotel provide an excellent map, which we received about a week before our visit explaining exactly where to find the hotel - which was really helpful! I really can't fault it at all!

"Couldn't ask for more."
This hotel is superb. Triple room had another room for my son. It was very clean and the bathroom spotless with clean towels daily and all you need in the way of toiletries. The position of this hotel is fantastic, just off the lagoon. It's sister hotel (where you have your terrace breakfast) is on the lagoon just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square. Breakfast is super with hot and cold buffet with everything you need. Sets you up for the day. All staff are very helpful and speak English. Free internet too. We ate at the sister hotel one evening but would not recommend that you do that. The food was not very good and cost a small fortune. Food and drink is extremely expensive in Venice in general, however, the supermarkets portray how cheap it is to buy. I recommended the hotel to several people at the airport who were keen to stay there next time.

"central location"
Beautiful hotel, central to San Marco and Rialto. Arrived by water taxi from port (highly recommend), straight to hotel door. Elegant foyer, very distinguished professional staff. Luggage held until checkin time (and when we checked out also). Room we had, junior suite for three, was huge, soft golden furnishings, huge bed with double sofa bed for our son. Overlooked canal with opening windows. In the centre of our floor was a shared lounge area, with large balconies overlooking canal, very romantic. Included breakfast was wonderful, very helpful waitress with good selection. Absolutely loved our time in Venice, and if lucky enough to return will certainly stay at the Aqua Palace again. (and the airconditioning worked perfectly!)

"Great location in a quiet campo of Venice,"
Gracious, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location in a quiet campo of Venice , yet only minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge or Piazza San Marco. Breakfast buffet great. Room and hotel surrounds clean, well lit. This hotel was a grand private palazzo for many years, now restored beautifully into a well run hotel. Room was very nice, somewhat small but comfortable with a view of the campo. Canal side rooms also available but we spent time in the room only to sleep so not an issue for us. Hotel arranged pickup from airport to Venice to private water taxi as well as a return trip to airport. This made arrival and departure easy and stress free. It is expensive, but worth it when travelling with two large suitcases as well as backpacks since we were on a two week trip. Mario and staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and efficient.

"Hotel Buccintoro Makes Venice, Italy Vacation!"
In this town, mobbed with Film Fest guests and seemingly every Europe vacationer, September, 2015, we found the Buccintoro a perfect location with superb amenities. About a ten-minute walk from Piazza San Marco, it is just the right amount of "secluded." Our view from the "Junior Suite with Lagoon View" was spectacular, and the room handsomely furnished and impeccably clean with all we look for in a beautiful hotel room. The reception desk manager/concierge knew all and quickly shared information re: restaurants, walking directions, no-cost hotel computer access and private boat to the airport. Breakfast was great, food aplenty, beautifully presented. This was our fourth visit to Venice over the years, and though the town is expensive, we felt we received fair value, there to celebrate my 75th birthday!

"Wow in Venice"
The hotel was stunning with gorgeous period furnishings, courtyard and garden. Our apartment was spacious and had canal and garden views as well as over the rooftops to the Campanile. The palazzo was well located for vaporetta stops and had a private jetty for water-taxis. It was a 5 min walk to St Mark's and there were small shops and a supermarket nearby. We were self catering...the only downside was that, if we 'used the kitchen' there was a 50 euro surcharge. The reception staff were very helpful and charming.

    Castello, Venice Hotel Guide

Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venice's quietest greenest parts, Castello is the city's most varied 'sestiere'. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.
