Me and my husband definitely enjoyed our stay.Perfect location for the main sightseeings.Taxi service can be arranged quite quickly for any occasion, train station just couple minutes away although we preferred to walk everywhere- that's the main fun in Italy to see all those old town streets. For those who are keen on Italian food, there is a great little restaurant about 5 min.away by walking turning left old the way down the street from the hotel.Big portions, good wine and lovely music.Cannot remember it's name( it didn't have any)but there is another restaurant called "drunken cow" just opposite our favourite one.
Overall a memorable experience around the town full of history apart from the weather in February- heavy rain every day ,wellies, raincoats and umbrellas absolutely essential!

"Great, traditional hotel close to the main sites"
Just returned from an excellent stay at this hotel. As with hotels in Italy, the room is small as is the bathroom but that's typical for most inner city hotels - it's a very old city! Room was immaculate, we had a gorgeous terrace (room 20) and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great & the terrace is beautiful. You can hear everything in the room but again that's due to its age & size and to be honest Rome is that exhausting I think if you aren't shattered when you get back you aren't doing enough!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed with my family last week (wife + 2 childs), the approach for the check-in was very confortablem at the begining we stayed at the apartment a couple of blocks away from the hotel, the apartment had some problems with the TV satelital sistem after that the manager offered us the appologizes and offered us a room/suite in the hotel. The experience overall was exceptional, the hotel vey well located and the staff kindness exceptional.

This hotel's staff was always pleasant and very helpful. All spoke English. The breakfast had plenty to choose from and we always left feeling full. The room was clean and quiet with its own bathroom. Public transportation is very close by. We were also within a ten minute walk to many sights and churches, including the Colosseum and St. Peter in Chains. The neighborhood is a mix of tourists and locals with an amazing number of restaurants, cafes and gelatto shops all charging a slightly lower price than nearby more "touristy" neighborhoods. There are also many shopping areas within a short radius of the hotel.

This is a beautiful inn on a quiet, side street away from the crowds, but it is an easy walk to the Roman Forum, the Coliseum, the Pantheon, restaurants and shopping. The staff was so friendly and gave great advice on restaurants and sites to see. The rooftop breakfast each morning was wonderful with pastries, fresh fruit, bacon and a variety of meats, and eggs prepared upon request. The only negative was the room, although clean and very comfortable, was a bit small and on a lower level so the window had a view of pipes and the side of the building. The friendly service, central location, and quiet location outweighed any negatives with the room.

The heart of Ancient Rome, all roads led to the Forum. Visitors flock here to walk the streets where Julius Caesar once trod when this was the centre of commercial, political and judicial life. Nearby, the Colosseum, described by Lord Byron as 'the gladiators' bloody circus', is the world's most famous amphitheatre and the most impressive of all Rome's buildings and ruins.
