"Wonderful rural, peaceful waterfront property to launch retirement with my husband and pup! Pristine house and grounds. Every little kitchen amenity you need to cook or bake, complete with coffee bar. Please note - Food storage space is limited for longer stay (we stayed 9 days) so use your big cooler. We grilled and ate in all week. You’ll also love the fun retro vibe. So fun! Clean laundry room with deep sink, potty and sport equipment storage was super handy. The grounds were private on two sides. Nothing but water, birds, ducks, fish jumping, deer, horses, tall pines and sky - pretty spectacular! We enjoyed the kayak, pedal boat, fire pit and fishing poles. I especially loved the choices of tree swings and gliders (on deck). Also appreciated little gate at the top of the deck stairs to keep our Cody safely contained. One impo tip if coming by 4X4 (vs boat) on beach. Check tide schedule. It’s a 30 min drive. You MUST air down to about 18 lbs. Then key tip - turn left off beach when you see the tall fire rescue communication tower (set back a bit) and in front of it a private extensive white walkway/stairway on dune near the beach turn off corner. Turn left there! We missed it the first time and went way off the beaten path after driving 7 hours - not fun! Sherry quickly came to phone rescue 😊 She’s a great communicator. We booked our 2025 spring trip before we left today! Worth the 14 hour drive from CT to have such natural serenity."

"Beautiful location. Staff always greeted us with a smile; Betty, at breakfast, was a gem. Jimmy, at front desk, was courteous and helpful. Continenental breakfast was good. Ocean front location was absolutely breathtaking and convenient. Bed was comfy. Our entire experience was wonderful. Our only recommendation is for management to purcahse more bath towels. They ran out one day, but next morning they were replaced. Houskeeping were fantastic. Again, wonderful stay and we plan to return in the warmer months. "

"Shore Relaxing is an amazing place. The house is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. We spent time hiking False Cape State Park (VA)...we found a gate to enter from NC. We also explored the Currituck Beach Lighthouse Park/Maritime Museum and hiked Currituck Banks Preserve. The wild horses made daily visits which excited, cautiously, our dog Roscoe. We look forward to a return to Shore Relaxing and would recommend to family and friends."

"Everything about our stay here was flawless from beginning to end. The owners/ hosts are incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and they were consistently timely with communication. The home itself was very clean and its size was perfect for our family of four (it could easily accommodate more). We had everything we needed! We visited the second week in April, and the pool heater was worth every penny as we played in it every day. The adults enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub and views from all three decks. The home is located on a primary road, but we didn't notice much (if any) road noise during our stay. My daughter gives the home "ten stars," and we're in complete agreement."

"I spent a week in this perfect condo planning a fresh start. It was stocked with everything you would need and in such a great location. The property manager was accessible and easy to work with. It was so perfect I stayed an extra day. Easy access to the beach, the lighthouse, restaurants. This was exactly what I needed for my escape. Can’t wait to go back."

"The home enabled us to enjoy our stay in the Outer Banks. We were unfamiliar with the area and the 4X4 beach driving, but love learning new things. The weather was not the best, but with the comforts of the home, we were had a relaxing time playing games, enjoying the hot tub and binge watching TV. The place is quite clean. And I am very picky about that. So thank you for ensuring a comfortable stay."

"Great area to stay. We saw horses 5 days of our stay. House was as expected in pics. Well stocked with paper products, spices, condiments. Owner was responsive and offered early check in to us. House layout was great. We all enjoyed the house and area and highly recommend!"
