Overpriced for the area and wouldn't stay there.

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Can't think of anything.
Cons: See above. - Better housekeeping.
Location: Lots to do in the area.
Toothpaste from the previous guests on the bathroom faucet, pink something or other smear near the shower wall, hair that looked like animal fur on the shams and a "stinky" take out bag of food left in the fridge (brought to the front desk and not much reaction). Yuck!!!

Hotel close to town in Pigeon Forge

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: I like the convenience of the location. The breakfast bar was very good. Coffee 24 hours a day made it so convenient for my husband who likes coffee.
Cons: I do not like the outside entrance. I didn't use the indoor pool because I would have to go outside the room to go downstairs.
Location: There were many restaurants, theaters, stores for shopping nearby.
This hotel is within walking distance to most everything in town, restaurants etc. The breakfast provided was set up nicely even though in another building. The breakfast was good, biscuits, eggs, sausage, cereal, and other things. The people were very nice when we checked in. The remote was missing for the television but a quick trip to the office fixed that. Coffee was served 24 hours a day in the office and it was very good. The room was comfortable and very clean.

Cons: cleaner carpet, our socks were black after 5 minutes of walking around the rooms.
Location: plenty to do around the hotel and lots of places to eat around there too. all within walking distance.
The staff was very friendly. However, the day we checked out they charged us for an additional night saying that we had only made one deposit at the time of the reservation. I had paid for two rooms when making the reservations and then paid the balance for the two rooms when we checked in. So needless to say, I wasn't happy about being charged upon checkout for another night on one room. The staff told me that they have experience trouble with people using expedia.com to book reservations. But in the end the staff voided the extra night charge that they charged us upon checkout. So, If you use a web site to reserve a room, take proof with you that you have paid all of your fees upfront with you for proof. It will save you a big headache at checkout.

Nice Hotel Close to everything

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The indoor pool and sauna, cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the front desk upon check in and check out.
Cons: The Breakfast could have been better.
Location: The Island was located not far from this hotel and they have a big ferris wheel that gives you a view of the city. Go at night it is so beautiful.
This was a very nice place to stay. It was very convenient to a lot of shopping, eating, and playing for the kids. This is a good family hotel for a very reasonable price. You can catch the trolley that stops right in front if you do not feel like driving. It kept my kids very entertained with the indoor pool. Would definitely recommend if you have kids.

Easy check-in. Room was king size with jacuzzi tub. Very nice. Bed was comfy but pillows were small. Very clean. Grounds were clean and manicured. This was my 6th time staying at the Shular.

Clean hotel

Cons: The bathroom in our room was a little small.
Location: It is in a great location for places to eat and play golf, go carts and see show and shop for souveneirs.
The Shular Inn was very clean and comfortable. It was reasonably priced and had an excellent staff, clean, warm pool and great breakfasts.

Good stay for the price

Everything was as expected with a nice room, indoor pool and a nice hot breakfast. Some road noise and foot traffic that you could hear in room but that's normal for outside doors.

Get what you pay for

Staff was friendly. Rooms were outdated and not the cleanest. The housekeeping didnt do an great job forgetting to replenish cofee empty garbage cans and put new bags in. The pool is not the cleanest and the water is too warm. Bathroom is super tiny you cannot even dress in them. They decided to paint around the facility when we were there and we could smell paint fumes through our air unit in the room. Beds are not comfortable at all. Breakfast is ok. Noisy at times you can hear others through rhe vents in the bathrooms.
