We were assigned a room that was already occupied and when we reported this to the front desk clerk she didn't even apologize, just said "try this one". Very disappointing!

Great room great staff and so conveniently located to the NYS Fair! I was leery because I never heard of this chain hotel before but was beyond happy with the outcome! Highly recommend!!

Not worth the money

Posted Aug 26, 2014
I thought this hotel was a bit overpriced for the accommodations. Hotel staff were friendly but not very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The amenities could use and update. The room had obviously been cleaned but had an overall dirty and damp feel.

Good stay

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. Easy access to the hotel.
Cons: The room could have been a bit cleaner upon our arrival. The mats at the entrance, both outside and inside, were very dirty.
Location: The location near the fairgrounds, the Finger Lakes, and the Destiny USA Mall,
The hotel staff was very pleasant and friendly. The complementary breakfast was plentiful and nicely presented.

Not even close

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See above: Wifi, cleanliness, staff.
The hotel was chosen because of the rooms and services they offered. Wifi was very important and it never worked the three days we were there. This would have been a deal breaker had we known and as a result I ended up working from my car. The halls were littered and had not been vacuumed and on one night, they had pulled the bedspread up, but never really made the bed. However, they never cleaned the bathroom or cleaned the rest of the room. When I mentioned this to them, they said that was "not right".

Close to shopping plaza.

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff, comfortable beds, cleanliness.
Cons: Security and closing hours of breakfast.
Location: Close to major highways, and Destiny plaza.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to see and do for our grandson. What we were disappointed in was the timing of breakfast hours. We were tired from travelling, slept in and ultimately missed breakfast which ended at 9 am, any other hotels close the kitchen at 10am. Give travellers a chance to get going in the morning and at least have something to eat and/or drink, although coffee was available. What we were surprised at was the lack of security in the back of the building, no swiping device allowing anyone off the street to enter the building. There was WiFi but without security password, not happy with that.

Great price for a decent room.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Price, breakfast, quiet, location.
Cons: Would have liked a mini-fridge & small microwave in room to make use of restaurant leftovers.
Location: Location is northeast of Syracuse, just a couple miles from 481 N, near junction with NYS Thruway.
Three of us (in Syracuse for a 2-day workshop) stayed in a room, which was a bit cramped, but suitable. King bed was overly firm, so a good sleep was difficult. Sleep sofa seemed decent, but when opened, blocked access to desk, window, and AC control. Room was right across from elevator, but was quiet (were there on Sunday and Monday night). Area of city seemed very nice and safe. Breakfast was a real bonus: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, make-it-yourself waffles, along with cold cereal, bagels/donuts, juice assortment, coffee, and instant oatmeal. Would definitely stay again for future workshops.

Disappointed with hotel stay

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was very nice.
We had not stayed at a Baymont Inn before. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay. The desk had no desk chair. I had to sit a foot stool to do my work. There was a nice sized chest but it couldn't be opened. All we could do was to sit luggage on top of it rather than put clothes in it. The walls seemed thin. We heard lots of noise from outside. We were near the ice machine and could hear people filling ice containers throughout the day and night.

Not very clean

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Most of the staff i talked to, 4 out of 6 said something negative about the hotel or management. My bathroom was not clean at checkin (make up around mirror). Nor was my room cleaned during my stay. I stayed 2 nights.
