DisappointingPosted Dec 3, 2013
Cons: Lots as noted in my comments
Location: Close by many great shopping areas
The last couple of times we have booked through Expedia, we just so happen to have booked through Wyndhm chain of hotels. In future I will avoid booking through this hotel chain. We received a 4:00am wake up call we did not request. Ended up awake the rest of the night unable to get back to sleep. The hotel staff did apologize for this error. The ceiling in the room was starting to peel and the bathtub I wished I had shoes to wear when I had my shower due to the ground in dirt on the bottom of the tub. The last three hotels we have booked through this company the maintence of the hotels have been in similar shape. The back door was not available to use. When I commented on this, they let me know they were aware and the parts were on order. Made if difficult when our room was at the back of the building and we had packages to carry into the room as we were on our Christmas shopping trip. I do not typically comment, but would have found it helpful. In future I will be looking at the comments of offered by others before booking a hotel. We have booked many 2-3 star hotels in the past and have had great success. This was not one of those times.

Pretty good for price paidPosted Dec 2, 2013
Overall the stay was quite comfortable. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable and the hotel provides a decent continental breakfast. The only complaint I have is that housekeeping did a less than mediocre job cleaning the room. After the first night stay, I returned to the room the following night to find that the bathroom was not cleaned, the carpet had not been vacuumed and the trash cans had not been emptied. Housekeeping replaced the used towels and drew the covers back on the bed.

One night stayPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: Bed, pillows, tv channels, fitness room
Cons: Some updates to carpeting and better breakfast options (more fresh)
Location: I arrived late and in a snow storm so I didn't investigate this too much. It was conveniently located right off the highway, few eating places around
The hotel was nice for a one night stay. Breakfast was ok....powdery eggs, though but other choices like cereal and yogurt, toast and bagels. Fitness room was nicely kept and I enjoyed the comfy bed and pillows.

not bad for family weekendPosted Nov 9, 2013
we booked this hotel for SU. family weekend. check in was at 3.We arrived from the airport at 2:45., but they would not check us in. we had a rollaway bed without sheets, but the staff fixed it promptly. the beds were soft, but still supportive. one of the light bulbs was burnt. the breakfast was ok. the interior was clean but dated. overall, it was good value for a "base".

Great deal, but disappointingPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Everything was just ok.
Cons: SERVICE!! Don't be rude to your customers ever. Be friendly and act like you are happy they are there. Bed covers were weird,.looked "lumpy".
Location: Syracuse has great nightlife and food. Adventure out and eat somewhere besides the neighboring restaurants.
I recently stayed at Baymont for 4 days. They were pretty accommodating when I requested an early check in. When I did get checked into the room what I did notice is the cleaning staff liked to congregate outside my room and talk at a loud volume,.two and three of them. They seamed to be outside my room for hours, and they were noisy. I began to notice that the staff in ALL areas of the hotel liked to congregate and talk to each other allot. One day I came in a noticed cookies, so I went to grab one and the hotel employee watching TV looked at me and said "USE THE TONGS PLEASE" in a very condescending manner. Really? Sorry I forgot my etiquette, and Thank you sir for reminding me! One day I decided to check out the complimentary breakfast, and they were out of eggs. A woman walked out with a plastic bag of eggs and said "These will take 20 minutes to heat up". Oh well. My room keys constantly stopped working even if I kept them away from my Phone and other Credit cards. Kind of a hassle to keep going to the desk to get more door keys that didn't work so great as well. It's an ok place to stay, but be warned that the staff is less than friendly and seem like they really don't care if you are there or not. If I were the CEO or District manager of that chain, I would do several surprise visits at different times to witness the same thing, and then make personnel changes so that the hotel can offer their PAYING GUESTS a better experience.

Good value hotel,Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The shower was newly renovated and the bathroom was spacious.
Cons: Instructions for the heating/airconditioning unit left in the room. Also, some advertising for nearby restaurants.
Location: East Syracuse. Nearby to the State Fairgrounds and Syracuse University,
Our stay in East Syracuse was nice. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. The room seemed like it was hurriedly made up before our stay. Drawers were open and the bed looked like it was quickly put together. But the floors were clean and the bathroom immaculate. My husband enjoyed the breakfast and I appreciated the decaf coffee options and skim milk in the morning. I would recommend this to a friend, but let them know it is not a 5 star hotel. Just a pleasant place to spend the night when visiting our student at Syracuse University. Just about 7 minutes from campus.

Never staying here again!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: cheap (but you get what you pay for)
Cons: Everything from personnel to quality to basic necessities.
Location: Was just a quick stop for us but there is a big mall (Destiny USA) nearby.
We were traveling from another country and just staying the night so we booked the cheapest hotel. And now I can see why it was so cheap. We arrived a bit early so I was happy when they agreed to let us check in early. However, it was all downhill from there. That night we were unable to sleep because drunken adults were allowed to run through the halls, screaming, banging on walls, and playing with the elevator. I know that things like this can't be prevented but they can be controlled and stopped. We were on the first floor by the front desk so if someone was properly monitoring the front desk they should have stopped the group. The next morning we went to go take showers and there was NO hot water and the shower was filthy. Not only was there no hot water, but the water wasn't even room temperature. It was COLD! We waited for an hour, trying the water at different times, hoping that maybe too many people were taking a shower at one time but it didn't get any better. I have a diagnosed circulation disorder and there was no way I could take a shower without getting sick. My husband was so upset that he went to talk to the front desk but after standing there for 10 minutes no one showed up and he gave up. We decided we would just eat some breakfast and leave as soon as we could. However, during breakfast the breakfast, maintenance, and cleaning staff were all fighting and yelling about how horrible it was to work there while blocking the food.
