Getaway from your worrys and your budget
Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. I got quite the deal when I booked it with my flight. I highly reccomend going in the off-season. I cant even imagine how crazy this place is during peak times at Disney. It was very close to the boardwalk and Epcot which is nicer for Adults. But if you wish you can just hop on the Monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom. Or take a boat to Hollywood Studios. We had a great time, the Hotel was very comfortable and clean. The only draw back from staying in a Disney Hotel is EVERYTHING is expensive. I saved up enough that I was willing to drop the cash. I think its really about convienence. If I stayed at an offsight hotel, transportation would be not as reliable and an issue. Waiting outside of Disney for your hotel shuttle after you call them can be a pain in the neck. All things considered Id rate it a 4 out of 5.

Merely Average
Be preapred for a wait to check in to your room when you arrive, this was a different experience from the usual "Disney Experience" at the disney hotels. The room was average, I had a room with a balcony to watch the fireworks over Epcot, probably would not do so again, bad planning on my part since we were in the parks, and only once caught a glimpse of the fireworks in the sky. The balcony door took the seven dwarves to open. The phone in the room only worked on speaker phone. The hotel left voicemail on my phone to talk about people speaking in the hotel, and I thought I was on vacation far away from sales calls, bad form in my opinion. Waits for the Water taxis while short, about 15 minutes or so between shuttles, but then the ride to Epcot from the hotel could take 20-30 minutes because of stops. You can easily walk to Epcot in 15-20 minutes and an enjoyable walk along the lagoon. The Brightest spot of the hotel stay was the BlueZoo, Excellent food, service was great. The background music was a bit repetitve, but you wont notice at all because you will be enjoying some of the best seafood I have had anywhere.

Luxury and location
My husband and I visit Walt Disney World regularly (annually). We usually stay a WDW resort for convenience and transportation. However, we discovered the Swan and Dolphin last year while were visiting the Boardwalk and using the water taxis. The location is prime (a short walk to the Boardwalk, the Beach and Yacht Club, and Epcot). The Swan and Dolphin offer luxury, great service, and lots of dining options on the premises and nearby resorts. The 24 hour restaurant/shop was a plus! There is also a health club, pools, and Starbucks products in the room on a daily basis. The resort is fabulous and a prime location. It offers great amenities and character meals. I recommend the resort to couples and/or families that wish to get away from the families and the noise at the Disney resorts.

just WONDERFUL
my daughter is disable the rooms are great for her wheelchair very large and roomy. the pool was easy to get her in and the staff you want or need something they got it . between the two hotels many restaurants to choose from. you can even walk across a bridge to go to other Epcot resorts. a 15 minute walk to Epcot or hollywood studios or a boat ride from the lake. and you can see the Epoct fireworks everynight at 9:00. just WONDERFUL.

Great Trip
We generally stay in Four Seasons type of hotels. The price was so great that we decided to just take a risk b/c of reviews on Expedia. We surprisingly had no complaints about the hotel room and the beds were comfortable. This hotel had all of the benefits of staying in a deluxe WDW owned hotel and was on the same WDW bus as the boardwalk and yacht club (we just got dropped off last, presumably b/c it is not a WDW resort). We took the boat at the hotel one night to Epcot for dinner and then decided to walk to Epcot for dinner a different night (it was much faster to walk and we pushed a stroller along the boardwalk to Epcot - it is about a 10 minute walk at the most). We took the boat at the hotel to Hollywood Studios one morning and then from Hollywood studios took a bus then monorail to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks. The pool area was great and they have good sandwiches and cocktails at the pool restaurant. The lobby bar has decent lattes in the morning. We did have an unexpected 5am wakeup call on our last morning which was a bummer but the front desk sent us a breakfast buffet certificate (worth $70) to apologize. Overall, we would stay at the Dolphin again, especially given the great rates they are offering. We are fairly hard to please and cannot say how much we enjoyed our trip to the Dolphin and WDW.

not bad, not good enough
may be you have not many choices if you want to visit the Disney World resort. There is a good new that you can take the free shuttle bus form the Dolphin or Swan to every theme park. Its pretty cool. But if you want to buy some snacks or juice, there is litter choice. And those are expensive. Room is not bad, but it is not good enough too, I dont know why the Resort is named Dolphin. Its normal. I felt a litter disappointment. May be Swan is better. I am not sure.

So impressed!
The hotel was beautiful, clean and in a great location. There were tons of great restaurants in and around the hotel and the pool was stellar. We originally booked the room with two double beds (figured we wouldnt be in the room much and we would be at the parks) but were upgraded to a wonderful, comfy, kingsize bed for free. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Its right in the heart of Disney and a perfect getaway for couples.

Dolphin Hotel
The only thing I have to complain about this hotel is the rooms and hallways are a bit dated. For the price, I would have appreciated something that was renevated within the last decade. The grounds of the hotel and the location made up for it though.

Perfect stay
The Dolphins location is excellent if you want to visit the Disney parks, which was our priority. The grounds are beautiful. The main pool was a little cold, but not unbearable. The service was top of the line, including the outdoor restaurant/bar staff! We had breakfast ordered to our room each morning-fantastic food and value!! The spa is as good as it gets. Disney transportation will get you where you need to go anywhere connected with Disney in a timely fashion. I was very impressed with the customer service. Everything we needed or wanted was on site. My family and I will go back in a heartbeat!
Treat yourself to a massage at the Mandarin Spa-its well worth your time and $$, and youre treated like royalty.

Had an excellent time!
When we got back from Magic Kingdom, we went to our room and there was a card with my sons name on it. We openned it and it said, "I hope you had a magical time, Love Mickey Mouse. Along with the card was 6 candy bars in a basket. What a nice touch! We were very impressed!

Dolphin Hotel
The hotel was very nice. My only complaint was that I had to pay for parking even though I was a guest at the hotel of $10/day while those using the lot on a daily basis only paid $9/day. There was one day when I did not receive maid service but I called housekeeping and the problem was quickly taken care of.

The Dolphin is my favorite hotel in Disney. I have stayed there many times and have always been very satisfied. The location is great and I can walk to my favorite park. Transportation to all Disney destinations is very convenient.

Charges to park, and for services I dont want total was more than the room, did not get room service the whole time. They did bring us a bag of supplies the last day, hotel never did respond to my concerns just informed us it was real busy and if we needed towels or anything to let house keeping know...we stay at a real disney resort the last 2 days of our trip
Traveler's tip on nightlife

Great hotel
My wife and I were there on vacation and had a great time. The hotel was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Our room was comfortable and newly remodeled. The only problem was our room did not have a room service menu and it took four calls and two days to get one. We got a great deal on Expedia that we could not pass up.
Traveler's tip on dining
Todd Englishs Blue Zoo restuaraunt was beautiful inside but the menu was not very inviting, only had one salad and was way over priced. I would not recomend eating there. Other poeple may agree because the place was mostly empty all week.

Great Hotel
I wasnt sure what to expect because of some reviews I had read but I was extremely pleased. Our room had plenty of storage, more than most hotels. The beds were very comfortable so we were able to really sleep well. The hotel lobby was very attractive and welcoming. The pool and the grounds were beautiful. The location is why I chose this hotel. We wanted to be close to Epcot and this was perfect. In the rear of the hotel was a boat pickup and it brought you to Epcot in about 5 min. The only negative we had about this hotel was the prices of the restaurants. They were too high end for us.

Dolphin Falling Below Disney Standards
The Dolphin location for walk-in access to Epcot and Boardwalk is ideal. We have stayed there repeatedly over the years for this reason. However, as time has passed, the rooms are getting dated and cleanliness is now sloppy. Carpeting, wallpaper, paint, etc is fading and dingy. Used bar soap was left in our shower from prior guests and spots of black mold grow on the caulk of the shower tile. Bath vent has not been cleaned in a long time given thick layers of dust clogging it. Even the remote control was so thick with dust that it was creepy to use it. Water pressure in the shower and toilet is also an issue. During showers, pressure would suddenly reduce to a trickle for 5-20 seconds and then power back up intermittently. Toilet often required 2 flushes. Although the mattress was nice, the pillows are worn in and provide no neck support. In addition to these comfort and cleanliness issues, when you factor in the mandatory resort fee as well as the daily parking fee, the price point for the Dolphin is too high to justify the location convenience. Just because Shulas Steakhouse (5th most expensive restaurant in Orlando market as rated by Orlando Business Journal) is in the hotel does not warrant a 4 star rating. As long as you dont mind overpaying for a less than 4 star experience, then this is a great choice, especially for Epcot visitors. We are returning to Disney next weekend and will not be staying at the Dolphin.
Traveler's tip on dining
Other than overpriced room service, nothing to eat at this hotel after 9pm.

Last minute reservations...great stay
Last minute tag along on family vacation. Everyone else was booked, and this was the only location on Disney property with availability. Arrived 2 hours before check-in after a 13 hour drive. Desk clerk was very understanding and allowed an early check-in. Room was very clean and as I was alone with 2 doubles, very spacious. Transportation to and from Parks was great. Longest wait time was about 10 minutes, and I had just watched the previous bus drive off as I exited the hotel. There was always space available for everyone waiting at the stop. No watching a bus fill before you made it on. Be sure to eat at picabo, the food is good and you can get it to go and dine in your room.
