Great Experience Wingate RTP

Hotel staff could not have been any friendlier, hotel was very clean, morning breakfast was excellant. We will stay there again.

not impressed

we thought the hotel had a pool, but only a hot tub, so my kids were dissappointed. Asked for towels while heading to the hot tub area, and was informed that there were no clean towels. The hotel was not full by any means. The coffee was the worst. Undrinkable. The continental breakfast was not very good either. The hotel is ok for one night, but wouldn’t want to stay more than that. Beds were comfortable, price was good.

Great hotel but

The internet service was quite poor even though advertised as business hotel. Was counting on internet access to get work done but had to do without it.

Not Happy

The hot tub didn’t work the whole 5 days we were there. The AC unit didn’t work properly which caused my granddaughter to get an earache every nite as we had to keep it on full blast to keep it from cycling off and on all night and keeping us awake all night so we all froze all night. There was nothing for the kids to drink at breakfast as they are allergic to milk and aren’t allowed to have fruit punch for breakfast. The bathroom was never cleaned properly and the trash, including food trash, was never taken out which is probably why I was killing roaches climbing up the walls. They only gave us 3 towels for 4 people and another group with us only had one washcloth for 4 people in spite of repeated requests for more. Our only response was things would get fixed when they got fixed. All in all, we were not happy. Even though the people seemed nice enough, they just didn’t seem to care that things weren’t working properly and they were in no hurry to fix anything.

VERY UNORGANIZED, NEVER COMING BACK

We couldn’t check in 25 minutes early because the rooms were not cleaned. Next day a couple checked in @ 1pm! Front desk told us to come back at 3 to check in I came in at 2:55 and asked if it was ready yet. She replied with a snotty "is it 3 yet". Checked in our room right @ 3pm, I instantly cuddle up in the bed only have a house cleaning lady barge into our room without knocking @ 3:30. We asked her if she needed something and she said no. Then ten minutes later 3 housekeeping ladies come in and say they need to change our bedding. Let me remind you I was already cuddled under the blankets in the dirty bed! We asked if we could talk to a manager after we felt like we were being harassed by the workers. He gave us a suite without saying sorry, and said he had no clue what was going on. Also we never got housekeeping on our 3 night stay because we felt like our belongings were unsafe since the house keepers were not very nice to us.

Has me won over

We were very impressed with the hotel. It was so nice to go into a hotel that even the hallways smelled wonderful. I hate nothing more than to go into a hotel and smell the smoke from the smoking rooms all the way in the hallway. The servide was great and my husband really enjoyed the USA Today being at door when we woke up. The breakfast bar was a nice change from the everyday, run of the mill continental breakfast. On any future trips to the Raleigh/Durham area we will definitely be staying at this hotel. Great job Wingate!!!!

Love the Wyndham, Durham NC

I stay at the Wyndham every time I visit NC. I am very comfortable there, and love the staff. They always address me by name as soon as i walk in to the hotel on check in day.

Way To Go Wingate!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wingate by Wyndham Raleigh Durham Airport RTP in Durham, NC, and it was the best rest I have ever had. The hotel room was immaculate and the staff was really friendly. I wish I would have had more time to spend in my room, but I did come in for business. Kudos to all of the staff at teh Wingate for a job well done.

Great Value

For folks who expect clean and nice accomodations even though they don’t have a budget to pay 5star prices, this is the place to be. It was updated, clean, and pleasent. The complimentary breakfast was also just enough, and well presented. I will surely stay here again and recommend it. This is a great value for the travler on a budget!

Great Hotel

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very clean and updated. There were many conveniences in the room such as a coffee maker, little frig. I would stay there again.

I needed a hotel close to the air port with a shuttle service. This hotel covered both needs.The shuttle was very quick to pick us up and the hotel was immaculate and beautifully updated. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Impressive Night Stay

Clean, quiet, and comfortable nights stay. Front desk was courteous and friendly. Room was very clean, bed comfortable with thick comforter, and continental breakfast tasty with good variety of food and drinks. Free USA newspaper outside door in morning a nice touch.

Amenities lacked

This hotels staff was pleasant along with the rooms however the breakfast did not have eggs and the reason was bc they weren’t going to pay for eggs at the store for $5 when a truck is coming the next day. My thought is get the eggs, many people were complaining about that. The hot tub was not working again, especially in the colder weather it is great to relax in the hot tub. Our last visit it was out as well, very disappointing. Finally the internet kept failing, that is extremely detremental for the business aspect of our trip. We had to find a hot spot and sit for hours to get our work done.

Would Definitely Go Back

I was very impressed with the hotel. The only reason I gave "comfort of your room" a 4 was because my room happened to be at the end of the hall where the hotel laundry was located. That caused some noise in the afternoon but it didn’t last long. Staff was very friendly and accomodating to my needs.

Great hotel for the price!!

Enjoyed the hotel and the staff. The whirlpool was fine but had to go to the front desk to ask for towels for the whirlpool (in my swimsuit!) ARGH!

Close to shopping, restaurants, went to the State Fair which was near. Enjoyed the whirlpool.

Great Business Stay

The Hotel was great at providing me with everything that I needed from a sewing kit to help with the printer int he business center. The front desk both at check in and check out was extrememly helpful. The room was large and comfortable and had internet connection in room. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Typical Nice Wingate

Very friendly staff. Typical nice Wingate. Not that close to RDU, and you have to ask for the shuttle to come, so do so as soon as you land.

Love staying there

The Hotel and the satff are great this is my second time staying there I plan to make this my home away from home when I am in NC. I really appreciate the local shuttle service the hotel provides.

Dishonest

The hotel facility itself was fine. However, I stayed one night and forgot my cell phone charger in the room. I called the same day I checked out and they said they never found it. Of course they found it but did not care enough to return to me.
