CONVENIENT LOCATION

JUST A SHORT STAY, NO IDEA!

DON’T RELY ON HOTEL SHUTTLE, TOO CROWDED!

You get what you pay for

Close to the airport but not a place to park, rooms were semi clean but air conditioning didn’t work, bathrooms looked dirty.

Convenient location to LAX....has ALL ammenities...even a laundry room!!!

Great location to LAX....easy access to "free" shuttle to the hotel. Best hamberger we had eaten in a month!!! Great bar.....comfortable room.....hospitable personnel and they even have a "Do it Yourself Laundry!" Would definitely recommend the hotel. Only complaint might be that the bathroom needed updating.....tub needed replacing and under the sink area, the wall needed a thorough cleaning. Otherwise, GREAT.

Keep your money and your passport in a pouch that you can hang around your neck and tuck into your waist band...

In need of an update

Great location. However, the rooms feel old and in need of an update. The bathrooms are tiny. I wanted to take a relaxing bath before my 5 hour flight but would barely have fitted (I am 5’11") in the tiny bath tub in a tiny bathroom. Also note that there is only valet parking available on site. If you want to park yourself you have to go to a parking structure somewhere in the area.

Try again when renovations are complete

The LAX Airport Radisson Hotel is in the midst of renovation, and it really shows. The multistory parking structure is completely closed leaving no realistic choice other than valet parking. (The nearest alternative parking is 2 blocks away and would cost almost the same as the valet facility. I find valet parking is a convenience that often becomes an inconvenience when there’s pickup backlog, so I avoid it.) The room that I was initially assigned had serious mechanical defects, but the staff made it right with another room assignment in short order. The beds were comfortable, so I had a good nights sleep, but the signs of wear and shabbiness were evident throughout both the public and private areas of the hotel. Since it’s the closest hotel to LAX, the Radisson should be considered, but I won’t be coming back until renovations are complete.

Perfect Spot for Quick LAX Layover

Airport shuttle runs every 15 minutes, even at 1AM! Very helpful staff, good breakfast, very comfortable room. Will definately use this hotel when we have overnite layovers at LAX!

Three PM check in is rigid.

I was surprised that no one was allowed to check in prior to 3:00 PM. Frequenty you will read that a hotel has a 3:00 PM check in time but usually the clerk will allow some quests to check in early if the rooms are available. Not the Radisson. At 3:00 PM we were allowed to check in not a minute earlier. Now we all know that there were some rooms available at 2:00 PM and that I could have been allowed to check in but not the Radisson. Other than that the hotel was fine. The people were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would go back if I could work around the 3:00 PM check in limitation. The Sleep Comfort bed was a fiasco.

Fast choice if you are passing by

I arrived late at LAX and had to take an early flight to Vegas ... leaving the airport at 11:50 I took the free Shuttle to de Hotel ... it pases every 10 to 15 minutes. Next moring the same, I took the Shuttle into the airport. Everything was fine!

Acceptable

Comfort acceptable though bad bedding. Food and beverage service hopeless. Welcome staff did not impress. Good stay when leaving the country.

Very Busy!

We arrived midday on a Sunday. Official hotel check-in time is 3pm so we couldn’t get a room - this was a bit inconvenient for us - but that was our bad luck. We were impressed with the ’Ocean Express’ shuttle which hotel guests can buy a ticket on the loop - which goes down to Manhattan Beach and back. Hotel is being re-furbished, our room was clean and tidy. We would stay again - very convenient to LAX - with free shuttle to airport every 20 minutes (or so).

Mostly good.

We arrived late from an extremely long flight from Bangkok. We had made hotel reservations well in advance so felt confident. When we arrived at LAX, the hotel was not listed on the courtesy board for the shuttle. We were jet-lagged and extremely sleep deprived and thus disoriented. Fortunately, the gentleman at the traveler help desk directed us where to go. When we arrived at the hotel, it took about a half hour to check in. (I guess the night duty person was no sharper than we). I asked if there was a place to print our boarding pass for the next day but she said we would have to wait until 6 AM. OK. We just wanted to get to sleep. The room clean and tidy and the beds were fabulous. It was amazingly quiet. They really could have done better than 2 shot glasses of coffee in the room when we woke. The coffee shop downstairs was really crowded and there was nothing but coffee. We actually opted to go to the airport for our breakfast.

Radisson LAX

Disappointed that there was no self-parking, which resulted in $44 valet parking for my stay. Also no LA Times newspapers available in either the concession shop or at the front desk....the hotel is in LA and you would expect to be able to buy an LA Times.

OK for 1 night stopover

Expensive for only partially renovated hotel. No free TV or mini bar 100 kids hovering around front of hotel after an event at the ballroom a little disconcerting. Staff did eventually recognise me as a guest & assisted me. Still not what i wanted to be greeted with at midnight & after 7 hrs of travel. Rooms big, beds comfy.

Quick Stay, Thank Goodness

This hotel is pretty run down. Front desk service was alright but being an airport hotel, front desk wasn’t really knowledgeable on which terminals for each airline. There wasn’t anything wrong with my room but there were cracks on the wall and the furniture looked pretty old and dirty. At least the sheets looked clean after a detailed scan. Only good thing is that it’s very close to LAX.

Convenient location

We returned our rental car the night before our flight. The Radisson Hotel was conveniently located and had shuttle service starting early enough for our early flight out. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and we would stay there again.

Only the Parking is terrible, or Valid at Hotel or 1,5 mile away.

Create parking for a fix price direct at the Hotel (no Valid) and it will be a perfect hotel for Leisure and Business.

Not happy! Too much construction going on!

It was okay, but the hot spa pool was closed and the self-parking was under construction. There is no public parking near by so you have no choice, but to pay the $20 valet parking fee. Since we were staying there for 3 weeks, I asked the manager if we could get a discount, but no chance.

Big Disappointment

The downstairs lobby looks like it was recently redone, but that is where anything nice about this place ends. Our room was just ok, but the beds are small, the bathtub porcelain was chipped and uninviting, the tv is old and we were unable to activate the menu for direct tv movies. The biggest disappointment, however, was the upstairs bar being closed down. Honestly, that is the main reason I chose the Radisson over any if the other nearby hotels to the airport (my husband and I had an overnight layover in LA on our way to our honeymoon). The highlight of our stay was the wonderful service we received from the (downstairs) lounge bartender/host.
