Very Cheap and Comfortable place to stay

all i have to say is that its very cheap and comfortable place to stay at. i love the jacuzzi. it doesnt close til 11 and gym is open from 6am-11pm. loved it. when i got back to LA im going to stay at marriot lax again.

GREAT value!

Can see the LAX sign at the street when you turn into the hotel! Very nice. Very helpful staff. We returned from a cruise (taxi $60) and stayed here before our flight left early the next morning. They let us store our luggage at 10am, helped us find an LA City Tour that picked us up in one hour at our hotel. They gave us our room keys early so we didn’t have to mess with that when we returned. We really enjoyed the VIP Tours tour they recommended. The tour guide Mark Darlin was GREAT! He is a writer for CSI Miami during the week! This hotel was GREAT for the price! We paid twice this at Hilton Universal City the week before. Both had very nice rooms and great service. Handy free airport shuttles every 15 minutes. NEVER heard a plane take off or land! That was amazing!

Good Hotel Very Close to LAX

We stayed at this hotel the night before our flight out of LAX. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was large and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. LAX is right across the street. We took the complimentary shuttle provided by the hotel, and had no problems whatsoever. The only other thing I would mention is that there is a fairly high fee to park at the hotel. (I would imagine that is typical for the area). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone flying in or out of LAX.

Best place by the airport!

We were looking for a good location near LAX and we found the Courtyard as a great reasonable option. This was our best choice for sure. Location is unbeatable right at the airport entrance and the shuttle was also a tremendous help for not being worried regarding transportation. Since the place was so well located, my rent a car company had no trouble to drop me off right over the hotel. The staff was very kind and the room was very nice, quiet, clean and spacious. The manager was very kind to give us a late check out and they also offered to store our luggage if needed since our flight departed late that night. I highly recommend this hotel where you enjoy Marriott quality for a reasonable rate!

El Segundo Plaza, Redondo Beach,Manhattan Beach, etc There is a trolley bus that serves the hotel area till late!

Good LAX stopover

very quiet, shuttle service excellent, arrived late so bar/restaurant closed, snack bar/vends available but room refrigerator did not work. Only problem, otherwise, very nice.

Great except for deposit

Everything about the Courtyard was exactly as I expected it to be with the exception of the deposit they required. I booked the room through expedia, but when we arrived to check in, they wanted to put a hold on my credit card for "incidentals." I knew we would not be incurring any "incidentals," so I said I preferred not to deal with the hassle of the hold on my card taking days to be removed. They insisted I had to put down a deposit (keep in mind, the room was already paid in full through expedia), and said I could pay $200 (!!!!!) in cash instead. I have NEVER encountered this as a mandatory thing with any other hotel, and I have done my fair share of traveling and staying at similar hotels for work. Very irritating, to say the least. There was no mini-bar in the room, I don’t steal towels, or linens, or even the little shampoo bottles, and I use my cell phone for calls. What happened to trust, and innocent until proven guilty???

Neede some communication

@ days in a row my keys would not work on my door. They did fix it but I had to go back down to the lobby after 2 very long days. The man on the second day said it was because it got erased from MY credit card ro cell phone...that if fine but should be communicated to the guest so we can put the room key out of proximity to these items and save needless trips down stairs.

good hotel

I was there just overnight. Shuttle was prompt. Getting the room was quick. The room was clean and quiet. The spring of the mattress was making a little noise, that was the only complaint that I would have. Courtyards are always a good value for the business traveler. Large room, large bathroom.

Surprisingly Upscale

I booked the hotel for a very good price, I was surprised at the large size of the room. The staff are wonderful and go out of the way to accomodate. Room was quiet despite the close proximity to LAX. I will book again.

We accidentally booked here thinking it was the Marriott LAX. It turned out to be much better - cosier, better service, better food, better parking and position

Heavenly

My son and I stayed here for one night after spending a week touring colleges in the LA area. We chose it because we had an early flight and it was close to the airport. It was a little piece of heaven after a long week and several bad hotel stays. The whirlpool was much enjoyed after the chaotic week we had. The sumptuous bed was like sleeping in a giant hug. A wonderful way to end the week. The room was large and very well kept. It was great to have the business center there so we could print our boarding passes and save spending time in a long line at the airport. We waited maybe 3 minutes for the airport shuttle. The driver was very helpful and courteous. If I had to come up with something negative about this hotel it would be that the desk clerk talked so fast I couldn’t keep up with all the great amenities he was describing to us.

Great for Overnight Stay at LAX

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very close to LAX, quite convenient. No restaurants nearby, onlyh the one in the hotel which has limited serving times. Service was great and free shuttle over to LAX was nice.

Not impressed. Will not try there again under any circumstances

This hotel was a down grade from what I am use to. I pesonally feel that it needs renovation. It had no restaurant and the view was on a parking lot. I did not like it at all.

Everyone from the valet to the receptionist were kind and considerate and seemed to want me to know I was the most important customer they had.

When checking out to head to the airport - leave plenty of time. LAX is VERY crowded and lines are long!

Check in was easy, staff was helpful. Very convenient to LAX. Staff gave us a tip on the local trolley to Manhattan Beach, which was perfect. We ate dinner at the hotel, and it was actually quite good. I’d definitely stay there again if leaving at the crack of dawn.

For only $3 a person, you can take the trolley to Manhattan beach and to two other shopping attractions nearby. It’s a quick drive, the beach town is very attractive with lots of restaurants and interesting shops. It was just what we wanted to do for the afternoon before leaving LAX early the next day.

Convenient and cozy

Great location, clean room, convenient facility and interior (especially the bathroom was convenient coz the sink seperated from the bath). And the price is so resonable, building is easy to find..etc. I hope I could visit this hotel again.

Great for layover

Perfect for a short layover. Was only there to sleep, but the beds were v. comfortable and the room quiet.

Good deal for your money

Over all it was wonderful hotel. Clean, free coffee, good house keeping, and wonderful stuff. The only problem I had was a valet parking fee. When I called the hotel to check on price I was told it would be $12/day. When I got to the hotel and double checked, manager said different price. But they honored the price I was told on the phone anyway. When I get my bank statement there were extra charge and I have to call the hotel. Well, it wasn’t a big deal but it was a hustle I could live without. Hotel was wonderful enough to let it slide.

Great Hotel at LAX

I stayed at this hotel after arriving on a late flight from Asia, as I could not make a connection home until the next day. The comfortable room was a welcome sight after 17 hours in the air. This hotel has been renovated to the new style of Courtyard, really nice! The staff was very helpful and the manager went out of his way to help the next morning with the shuttle passengers back to LAX. I would definately stay here again.

There are 2 Courtyards in the airport area at LAX, make sure you get on the correct shuttle from the airport!

Close to LAX, No Long Term Parking

The LAX Courtyard by Marriott is a high-standard hotel that is very near LAX and offers a frequently departing shuttle to the airport. We were unable to leave our car at the hotel parking lot during our stay, a convenience that is offered by several hotels near the airport. However, there are some nearby privately operated parking lots that are within "daytime walking" distance of the hotel. At night, this would be "running distance", as things are not well lit along the street.

Great Hotel, Great Location

We stayed here for one night during a lay-over in LA. It was very clean and in a great location. The shuttles to and from the airport were very prompt and easy to catch. There was also a trolley stop near by to get to Manhattan Beach. It makes stops for the beach, restaurants and shopping in the area and was only $3 roundtrip. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definately book here again.

Great Service

We stayed one night in LA on our way to Hawaii. The staff was helpful in many areas. They informed us about a Trolley that took us throughout LA for $3, about a Subway Shop around the corner. It was a pleasant stay. You must try the orange water that they have available in the foyer in the afternoon.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you’re going to Union Station and other locations that the Free Hotel Shuttle doesn’t go to - try Flyaway. For $6 each you can get to your destination. Also, the Oceanside Trolley will take you to several beaches and nice shops for $3 each.
