Worth the money, would visit again and recommend to others

I visited this hotel approx 4 years ago and the remodel that was completed since my last visit was a huge improvement. We arrived early and we were able to check in with no problem. The room was very clean and I am extremely paranoid with staying in hotels but I was comfortable and statisfied. The linen was clean and the shower and bathroom floors were very clean. The room didn’t have a old smell and that was wonderful. The bartender in the lobby bar was very nice and personable and the breakfast was good. I will visit again.

A very nice hotel near the airport

the hotel is close to the airport with shuttle bus, the standard room is comfortable and clean, there is a store and gas station nearby, very convenient. the rate is reasonable.

Would go back again!

The hotel was very comfortable. Staff was excellent. The restaurant was very good.

A great hotel to stay at if you want to be near LAX airport

Convenient for LAX connections, not great location

Although this hotel was convenient for an overnight connection at LAX airport, dining services were quite limited. The hotel’s dining room looked very dinghy. There were various fast food choices nearby but the area appeared unsafe and crossing the highly travelled streets was difficult.

Economic hotel

The service is good, but the elevator and air conditioner are too old. No slipper and tooth brush. Having checked in other hotel in US, I found all the US hotel do not provide such thing.

Very pleasant stay.

Very pleased with location to airport and car rental. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room clean. Good value for the money.

A fine overnighter

I was especially pleased w. the courtesy and helpfulness of the reception staff. Less pleased with the bathtub--either it didn’t function well or the way to use it was not clear.

Will book this hotel again

Overall very satisfied with La Quinta. We particularly liked our room: suite with King size bed and mini fridge. We had asked for a crib, which was not in the room. Not a problem though since I chose a king size bed in case we could not get a crib. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory, not great. The airport shuttle runs often, which is great. The staff was very nice. There is a McDonalds right next to the hotel, which was good for us since we did not want to spend money by eating at the hotel. The bathroom was large, but I must complain about the bathtub. I was looking forward to a nice bath after a really long trip (from Europe), but could not figure out how to "plug" the tub. It must have been broken. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.

it was a hassle-free stay

check-in was fine. we arrived at 10:30 am and we were promptly checked-in, even if i jnow that the check-in was suppose to be at 3 pm. we surely needed the rest, with 3 kids all tired. the room was ok, except for the closet, which has a kind of woodsy smell. so we were not able to put in our clothes for fear it would pick up the smell. the breakfast was satisfying. some even brought breakfast up to their rooms. freebies included, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste( you have to ask, no lotion), and free internet connection if you have a laptop and there is a computer at the lobby if you don’t have one. the traffic noise was not a bother to us nor were the planes. our snoring was noisier. the fastfood and the 24 hrs convenient store practically next door was a god send. we bought water at the convenience store and other snacks and of course the 1 dollar hamburgers. the check-out was also hassle free and the early morning free shuttle to the airport was such a relief. thanks.

Great Hotel for Pets near the airport

Really like the hotel for staying in LA, my wife and I felt comfortable bringing our dog here. Convenient to many places, and reasonably priced. Feels like a modern hotel.

Nothing special, adequate for an overnight stay.

Lot of vehicle noise as the room was facing Century BLVD, was awaken at 5:30 am from sirens and buzz of the traffic. I was expecting the hotel to be closer to the airport car rentals as I had to return a vehicle. It was not within walking distance so I had to take the shuttle from the vehicle rental drop-off to the airport, then take the hotel shuttle from there. There are other hotels closer by that I would consider next time if I had to do that again.

Not impressed

This hotel charges to park a car there, so you need to budget an extra $12 per night. The airconditioning unit for our room was straight from the 70’s and very noisy. It woke us up when it came on at night. The room was clean but not very large by today’s standards. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of seating.

all that I needed

I was looking for specific thing that all were offered by this hotel, I was very happy with the services and I would go back.

La Quinta LAX

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very nice inside, very clean and the service was outstanding. The continental breakfast was a feast! My room was exceptional and more than I expected. Nice decor, good lighting, comfortable pillows, and excellent WiFi connection. My one concern is the parking charge in the garage, $12.00 seemed a little steep to me, especially as a paying customer.

Nice hotel near LAX airport

Nice hotel, it has good TV, Coffee maker and Water. Laundry room is available near to the elevator.

Hotel Near LAX

We had an overnight in LA before taking an international flight. We needed a place to stay solely for sleeping and getting back to the airport. The La Quinta had a cheap price and a shuttle to the airport, so we booked it. In sum, it was an ok place to stay. We went to pick up the shuttle at the shuttle stand but the La Quinta bus did not arrive. We called the La Quinta local number to see where the shuttle was, but it rang 30+ times each time we called without a pick up. We finally called Expedia after 40 minutes and the bus arrived. The hotel is within 2 miles of the airport, but in a not-so-nice part of town. There is a bailbondsman across the street, and a security guard at the front door. The lobby is uninspiring. However, the rooms, although dated and somewhat dark, were comfortable. There was a breakfast in the morning but it was not anything special-- rubber pancakes and boiled eggs. If you need this for a quick overnight before a flight, the hotel fits the bill. If you are looking for a vacation hotel in LA,- I would look elsewhere.

Excellent value, wonderful staff

I was very impressed by the facilities and the staff at the La Quinta. The furnishings were modest but very modern and more than comfortable. Wifi and breakfast (including pancakes and eggs!) were FREE, and parking was only $15/night. That’s even better than some of the more expensive hotels in the area! The only issue I encountered was that the guest computer was broken...I was having laptop issues and I had hoped to use it. Oh well, it is nice that they usually provide that service, anyway. The staff were particularly great; they helped us with directions and advice on numerous occasions, and even allowed me to email them some documents I needed and they printed them out for free.

The street performers on Third Street Promenade, combined with the excellent variety of stores and restaurants, made it easily our favorite place to hang out during our vacation in LA.

Breakfast should be better but it’s not bad! They should aloud guests to park for free! Good hotel!

The personal service at this hotel was fantastic! Aside from enjoying my stay and the room, etc, I have to give highest rating to these folks for their care of me, not only while there, but especially right after I left. Took the hotel’s shuttle to the airport before sunrise to make my flight, and left my camera equipment on the shuttle. Trying not to panic, I called the hotel in the hopes that MAYBE it could be located and I’d get it back sometime after my trip. They contacted the shuttle dispatch and whoever else they needed to and SOMEHOW had my camera rushed to me in plenty of time for me to make my flight. All the while keeping me informed; "we found it" "we’ve got it" "we’re on our way". Aside from the cost of the equipment, which would have been painful to replace, a big part of this trip for me was the photographic opportunities. So they really did save my vacation, before it ever even started. Many many Thanks.
