in Downttown!

The best point of this hotel is its location. it is in downtown, really close to the French Quarter.

Need some improvement

1. Sheets had noticeable stains 2. Security safe was not accessible, even after the staff tried to reset the code. 3. Iron was missing. Staff did bring a replacement but the steam setting was broken.

Nice hotel and great price too!

Toilet was leaking, and we found and adult toy in the tank. We know it wasn’t your fault, but it was rather gross.

Queeen and Cresent

I am looking forward to seeing the renivations of the Queen and Cresent. It is a historic hotel and those staying need to be aware of the age.

Think twice...

The hotel crew let a crazy taxi driver call my room at 5 in the morning for no reason. Every time I was out of the hotel my keys were out of order. The worst breakfast ever... . . . .

All was great except one thing...

The hotel is in a great location, nice rooms. But when we checked in...their was a pair of underwear on the other side of the bed. I thought if they missed this, how much did they actually clean. other than that, everything was nice.

RUN DOWN

This hotel has gone downhill fast. No refrigerators any more, ice makers out of order, dirty halls, maids skipped service, hotel out of shampoo, front desk staff not friendly, and bugs in the bathroom, just does not make a good impression. Will never stay again

It’s okay if you are out & about all day.

Well, my stay at the Queen & Crescent Hotel had a few levels. I arrived very late and was first given a room that was very unsatisfactory to me and immediately called Expedia Customer Service to complain. After this call I was contacted by the hotel personnel and moved into a much more suitable room on the 12th floor of the main hotel. One of the elevators was "out of order" 4 of the 5 days I stayed; I would leave the hotel in the morning and return late afternoon to find the room had not been attended to; when I called down to housekeeping was told that they are on staff until 5PM and will get to me. So, I sat around the hotel room un-kept. Okay I straighten out my bed myself. Now I know that when you are away you just cannot expect to feel like you do at home, but at this hotel customer service was rare but I did find some staff to be pleasant. Thanks to them I did have a good stay although not very cozy. Now for the good - I loved my view on the 12th Floor.

Bent Over Backwards

When we first arrived, we did not like our room. We asked for another room. The Queen and Crescent Hotel bent over backwards to please us. We were so happy with our new room, we hated they we had to leave the room for any reason. I would stay at this hotel again, because it was comfortable, clean and affordable for a downtown location. The brick walls in the room was a personal New Orleans touch. the bath tub was big enough for two, and the room had a very romantic feel. We could not have asked for anything better.Plus we would not have been able to afford such a top quality hotel if it had not been for the great discount we received from Expedia!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

There is so much to see and do in New Orleans, on a budget. We rode the Street Car to the end of the line and walked through Audubon Park. We ate poorboys sandwiches at a local eatery, then visited local shops and talked to nice people. We got a lot of sightseeing in, because there is so much to do and see, and it will only cost you your time. Please stop by the WW11 Museum and Mardi Gras World. We simply just had the time of our lives, and we did this all on a shoestring budget and so can you.

Queen and Crescent-Needs some work

We have stayed at the Q and C before, always liked it. This time, hotel had some problems. Issues: 1. Had to change rooms for better wireless reception 2. rude valets. 3. skimpy continental breakfast. On the positive side, great location, quaint old hotel. Desk staff polite and helpful. Rooms clean, beds comfy.

Decent and Affordable

We came for a few days because we love New Orleans. The Queen and Crescent is not too far from the French Quarter where we spent most our time. The two block walk was expected, and you walk everywhere in New Orleans anyway. It was much cheaper than staying in the Quarter. I’d stay there again.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Take the St. Charles streetcar for a nice view of the beautiful homes in the Garden District. You can get on near the Queen and Crescent and it’s only $1.25 each way.

Down & dirty in New Orleans

The bathroom was not clean at all. There were brown stains on the bathroom wallpaper beside the toliet. The floor grout was mildewed. The towels & bathclothes were very thin & dingy. There was one very small shelf in the bathroom that could only hold the toothbrushes. The charges for parking was much more than I was told it would be when I phoned in advance.

Not the best, but close to everything

The room and service was good, I can’t complain. I did have some issues though. First the A/C in this place is not very good at all. Second, there is NO bar in this hotel (there used to be). Third, no continental breakfast, only coffee, and that is till they run out, lol. Fourth, and I had a big problem with this one, they charge you a resort fee ($7.95 per night) that is supposed to be for wi-fi access; We were on the 11th floor and they dont have wifi above the 9th floor. I had counted on using this service and needed it, and couldn’t use it, but I had to pay for it. I will not ever go back to this hotel for that reason

Great Stay for A Good Price

I really enjoyed my stay at the Queen and Cresent Hotel. It was easy to find and directly off of Poydras and the interstate. The room was spacious and clean and room service was kept up every day. The only thing that I did not enjoy about this hotel was that there was no bell hop to help take our luggage to the room and we had to carry all of our bags to and from our room. Also, if you are hoping for a short walk to the French Quarter, you are out of luck, it is a few blocks away. But parking is cheap and there is no charge for taking your car in and out. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget and is looking for a nice, clean hotel!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take your car on excursions, theres no fee and its cheaper than a taxi!

Money well spent

We had a room with 2 queen size beds - very comfortable. Bathroom was fine. We went out at 12 noon and came late evening and our room wasn’t madeup. followup is slow. We made sure to tell front desk to have our rooms made the next day and it was. if you are a tea drinker, bring your own tea bags.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

It is 2 blocks from french quarter and walking distance of about 5 minutes. great location.

Clean, decent, comfortable, great location

We stayed at the Queen and Crescent hotel for five nights in May. It was comfortable, quiet, well-maintained and in a great location. Definitely recommended as a decent, clean, and affordable hotel right near the heart of things.

Nice for the price

Our room was very clean and up to date. It was a little small, but met our needs for the price. Breakfast was ok. The hotel was convenient to Bourbon St and the French Quarter and yet nice and quiet. The staff was very infomative to us as tourists and provided maps and advised tours. Any issues we had were quickly addressed. I would definately stay here again. It was a lot of bang for our buck.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Preservation Hall has great old school jazz. Take the street car for $1.25 to see the Garden district and most definately try the boiled crawfish and beignets in the French Quarter!
