Would like to return.
This was one of the nicest hotels weve stayed in. There wasnt a thing that we needed that was lacking--comfort, friendly, helpful staff, space(!). and even fresh milk in the refrigerator for our coffee. A perfect place for two couples to share because of the two bathrooms. Location is excellent.

Wonderful Facilitiy
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holyrood Aparthotel. Location was excellent for access to the Royal Mile. The apartment-style hotel room was wonderful, giving us two separate bedrooms and a living area where guests could stay up without bothering those who wanted to sleep. I highly recommend this facility.

Good hotel for a family, not an open layout
We stayed Sept. 5-9. It was only my boyfriend and me on this trip but I booked a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath through expedia because it was cheaper than most of the other hotels and I thought the extra space would be nice to have. We only ended up getting 1 bathroom but I didnt say anything. If I had a whole family with me and needed the space this place would have been great for the price but the layout of the rooms is very confining and does not flow at all. When you walked into the room you walked into a hallway and the rooms bathroom and den went out from there. Not an open plan at all. And every door would shut automatically so you always felt closed in. We ended up propping doors open with furniture. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, and the free breakfast basket was great. But since it was just the two of us a even a one bdrm would have felt way less confining. Oh and when I booked it looked so modern that I thought it had A/C but it did not. It was around 70 in the day and 55 at night but if it had been any hotter we may of had an issue.
Traveler's tip
This hotel is at the very bottom of the hill so having the passes for the open top bus tour which picked up right on the main street of the hotel was very very convenient.
