The room was clean. The staff in the breakfast area were great. However, the front "tea area" staff were not so good. It would take on average 20-30 minutes to receive a pot of tea. an even at that each night it was different, and to a point where it was undrinkable. One night we arrived for tea and desert and was told by the waitress that she had to get permission from her manager if we could sit and have tea, the area was empty. The best person I would say was Jay at the concierge station. Very professional, and always with a smile.

Laura, the PM manager, was accommodating and flexible about changing us to a different, more convenient room. Overall the hotel staff were warm, helpful and highly professional. The hotel location is excellent near the castle and royal mile.

Good location, walking distance to the castle and bus stops. Restaurant food was good but overpriced, it was nice touch when we arrived they offered us some complimentary bubbles. Concierge was very helpful and had great recommendations for us.

I don’t give five stars lightly but this place deserves it! Service, atmosphere and food were amazing. The only challenge was no parking. They do offer a reduced rate for parking a block away at the TCP lot. We parked for the better of two days straight and, after the discount, paid £18.

We spent ten days traveling around Scotland, and this was our favorite hotel. It has beautiful architecture, interiors, and rooms. Great amenities and - the piece de resistance - the best air conditioning we experienced in the whole of the UK. Would love to return!

It needs updating, staff are lovely and try their best. Only 1 working elevator the whole 3days. Frosted bedroom window, no view whatsoever. Breakfast not included, enjoyed it but pricey as quite average.
