“I was thankful to find a place to stop as we ran through bad weather. It was okay. The beds were nice and clean. The room was on the small side. The tv fridge were good. The bathroom looked rough and towels had some staining. They provided two towels for five people but they gave us a third when we asked. I don’t know that the hotel is worth what I paid. It looked like a 70 dollar per night room on the side of the road. But I paid way more. The breakfast was just cereal and yogurt. My kids were……

“Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations.……
