“When we entered the apartment it was so cold and took all night for the heat to warm up. It was not a pleasent first impression. “Overall we had a lovely time in Ambleside, the house itself was a bit grubby could do with a thorough clean, it said onsite parking on Expedia there is no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked in the village and paid £8 a day but shouldn’t be wrongly advertised, we tried to contact the property owners a couple of times about parking and the rubbish collection but still waiting for a reply, it is a lovely little house in a good location.”

“This is a lovely cottage and the location is great. We had a fantastic stay in Windermere. However, be aware that the street parking is only for an hour and so a paid carpark is needed, not free parking as advertised. I messaged Sykes Cottages about this issue twice and received no response so communication was unfortunately a problem. The cottage was also in the process of being cleaned when we arrived, despite this being after the check-in time.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Hazeldene, we had a room with a view, Exceptionally clean room with a comfortable bed and nice pillows. Chris & Victoria are amazing hosts very attentive. Breakfast was delicious cooked fresh every morning, fresh orange juice, fresh coffee and toast. We parked the car around the back, as they have a number of spaces, we didnt use the car after, as we travelled by bus everwhere. We loved our stay in bowness, and would definitely go back again 👌 ”
