The pool was lovely and there were lounge chairs and towels, as well as a shower to rinse off in before swimming. In addition, having the proximity to the Chincoteague National Refuge and easy driving to local restaurants and downtown were pluses. The Refuge Inn has a small-town, family feeling with all the amenities you could ask for.”

“Our cottage was listed as having a bay view, and we paid over $300/night for this view. The cottage was on a narrow (not super clean looking) man-made canal, with a parking lot to a hotel on the other side of the canal. The canal is wider than a ditch but very narrow. Very technically speaking, you can see the natural body of water (referred to as the bay) if you look through the landscape and other buildings between our cottage and the water, but the view was not in any reasonable way a bay……
