This place was fantastic! It had everything you needed so you wouldn’t need to go off property! The owners were very communicative via WHATS app and made check in super quick so we could start enjoying our vacation. The food and drinks were awesome. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip! A huge shout out to all the staff as they were very warm and called us each by our name .. we felt at home.

We made our plans at the last minute and found the West Bay Lodge through Expedia. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids.
We received an email shortly after booking asking about our plans, any special requests, etc. I thought that was nice. Since we were staying over the course of a week the hotel had a driver meet us at the airport and drive us to the lodge.
Upon arrival they let us know that we couldn't get two adjoining rooms since we had only booked the day before but...

.I arrived at Upachaya in a state of mental and physical exhaustion. This is a fabulous place to unwind and de-stress. I curled up on the porch for two weeks and spent most afternoons simply reading and/or writing. I enjoyed falling asleep listening to the tree frogs and the men fishing in the bay. Barb, the owner, is friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. If you want a tour or transportation, she will make arrangements. If you want to stop at the grocery store for cheese,...

Stayed for 11 nights & the location is perfect. Anything you need is within walking distance. Only negative was the “step down”, when exiting the toilet. I didn’t have the light on & crashed into door frame, first day. Bloody arm that needed a lot of neosporin & bandaids. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very nice, right in front of the beach. It has a lot of treas and is quiet. Very convenient location, the kayaks are free to use for guest. I did have an incident were I was charged $8 more than it was supposed to, I told the manager, and she reimbursed me that money. Overall I was very pleased with the hotel and do recommended to other travelers.

This was our 5th time to West Bay and highly recommend.
This is why we liked it-
Spacious, clean, great balcony, and fanatic location. Argentinian Grill staff were extremely accommodating, attentive, and welcoming.
Only complaint is the rooster at the house next door.
Would stay here again!

Great experience. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Rooms are mostly beach front, recently renovated, clean and have balcony. beautiful view. Was a little disappointed that the beach was not sandy but rocky, but realized reef and sandy beach close by and could walk forever and snorkel right there. Town 5 mins walk with lots of restaurants, water activities and shops. Rented a car which was great to see the beautiful island. A lot of poverty but never felt unsafe....

This was my 5th stay at Splash Inn. I have never had any bad experience at this hotel. The whole staff, from reception to restaurant is very friendly and helpful and remembers you. The room was always cleaned to perfection and smelled great. Some improvements have been done over the years as I had a safe in the room. The property is very well maintained and clean. It’s the best place not only for the location, but the pool, hotel amenities, restaurant, staff, and walking distance to all the best attractions the island has to offer. Minutes of snorkel away from the beautiful, colorful, amazing coral reef.

From the Minute we were greeted at the airport, we felt special. We were picked up on time and driven to our hotel where We were given a welcome drink and shown to our room. The hotel surpassed our expectations as we weren't sure about the location from the map. We had a room with an amazing view of the water and sunsets.
