"Lovely hotel, couldn’t fault it. On arrival they gave us 2 free drinks vouchers and a free light lunch voucher for each day of our stay. Very good location about 10 min walk to the station. Facilities were very good free coffee, water and snacks. Would definitely go back. "

"Really excellent hotel, blending traditional and modern. The room was very large and comfortable, and the staff were so helpful with recommendations and bookings around Kyoto. The only downside was the location, which is around 25 minutes walk to the centre of Kyoto."

"The hotel was beautiful, the amenities - especially the private baths - were great. Staff were friendly and the location was very handy to get around from. The only thing that was a bit of an issue was the key system: you're only given one set of keys and you must always exchange your key with access to your shoes or vice versa, so just stepping out for some air was such a chore, especially when the front desk is packed with people checking in or just wanting to get their shoes. "

"Rooms are clean, functional with modern furnishing. It is not very spacious (22 & 26 sq m) especially the triple sharing but this is expected. We like chilling at the lobby lounge with a cup of cuppa or hot cocoa before heading out in the morning. The airport bus limousine is just opposite the hotel, which is a lot more pleasant to ride on vs lugging the luggages to the train station especially this is Golden Week!"

"Great location but will request room closer to the elevator as we always seem to be assigned the last room at the end of the hall, which is quite a distance to walk with suitcases. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay."

"Newly renovated hotel with modern design. Our superior king room was very spacious for Japan standards. Plus we have lounge access which is a nice touch. Very convenient if you don’t wanna go out for dinner. There’s also a fitness center and laundry facility. The staff are very professional, courteous and accommodating especially Jessica, who assisted us with our luggage delivery to the next hotel, as well as our dry cleaning. They always greeted us with a smile. Very close to Kyoto...

"The staff was wonderful. At first i was hesitant for an upgraded room by front desk but took it and the view was stunning and did not disappoint of the Eastern part of town as well the Kamo River. The subway station is directly under the hotel so if you need to catch a subway train or need to get off at a station near you, it will be conveniently under your hotel which also doubles as a shopping mall and connects to the shops underground in the subway station. "Hotel was very nice. Checkin tried to upsell room but no big deal. I heard them trying to upsell others too. Room was plenty big enough.Hotel is located close to main station in Kyoto so much so that I worried about noise but it was quiet. Room had real Noritake teacups and saucers- nice touch."
