Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff. Lovely. Never seen such a brilliant white, spotless bathroom ever. Had only been in my room a few minutes when Reception rang to ask if everything was as it should be and did I need anything! What service. So nice to feel valued as a guest. Beautifully and tastefully ...
We always love this hotel. Informal and welcoming. Lovely walks and food facilities.
We spent three nights at this hotel and from start to finish experienced a friendly professional attitude from all concerned. Upon arrival we were shown our room which was very nice but also offered a free upgrade which we accepted. Another very nice room but bigger and with better facilities.
Lovely hotel decorated in seaside style. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, we felt 'At home' immediately and made to feel welcome. As we had our 2 little dogs with us we were a little surprised our room was on the top floor but it was not a problem for us. The room was spotless with a good selection ...
We had an excellent Holiday very well looked after with very good food breakfast & dinner The local people made it so much better. From the time we got to Barnstaple till we got back there. all little kindnesses if you call us we will tell you about them all. Colin.
Had a great stay at The Royal Oak Inn. Exactly as a true country Inn should be. One for lovers of the countryside, good homely accommodation with bonus of an excellent Restaurant too. Great dark skies (without the need to drink and drive!) in the lovely village of Withypool.
Stayed six nights in the Yeo Dale, a very interesting and well-restored georgian house run by a very able couple and their friendly helpers. Enjoyed excellent vegetarian breakfasts and one evening opted for an evening meal which they will make for guests on 24 hours notice. This too was excellent. ...
Ignoring the power station next door, there are excellent views across the Bristol Channel to North Somerset / Devon coast. The guest house is a converted 15th C boathouse, extended over the centuries. Room a little cramped but adequate for a night or two stay. Owner very welcoming.
Overall this is a good place to stay in the centre of Braunton. The rooms have recently been upgraded and were clean and comfortable. The downside was the service at breakfast; we stayed 2 nights and for both breakfasts we waited for over 35 minutes for our hot food to arrive and when it did it wasn't ...
