"Hotel is not located in the historic and very busy part of the city. More of an upscale neighborhood that was less active, which worked for us. Great rooftop pool and the buffalo breakfast is the best I’ve experienced. You’re only a 7 Euro cab to Rossio. I don’t recommend returning to the hotel via Metro to the M. De Pombal station. The walk up the hill to the hotel will get you."

It is a surprisingly short walk, past the Tropical Gardens, and down to the riverside of the wide Tagus. It’s on a hill. "It is a small 5 stars hotel so we were expecting a great service but our experience was disappointing. We arrived tired and hungry after a long flight, they offered a pool/bar restaurant but we waited an hour for 2 appetizers, was too much!. They also forgot or got confuse making our reservation for dinner, so no restaurant available. Also, if you enjoy privacy be sure to let them know, my husband was trying to sleep when a man was inside our room without first knocking at the door, 10 minutes...

"Friendly staff, quiet area, adjacent to golf course. Recent renumbering of the course meant that tee #1 was no longer adjacent to he hotel. The driving range was a short walk but the clubhouse and first tee were better accessed by car if carrying clubs."

"Unique setting and experience. Not cheap but worth it for our one night in the area. Nice sized room with lots of complimentary drinks and snacks. Our view was pretty but you had to look out over the HVAC array, which detracted a bit from the beach and mountains (probably the only con we could think of). We ate at the hotel restaurant and had a wonderful meal well worth the price. Also a nice breakfast. The cliffs and beaches are nice to walk around but not much else in the immediate area."
