“Fabulous location just a stones throw from the beach. Everything you needed was in the cottage. Floors a bit creaky but to be expected in an old building. No trouble parking on the street though not sure if this is the case in the height of summer. Bit confusing about rubbish(other than a weekly collection mentioned) but found recyling bins on the promenade and a biffa bin near the harbour for general waste. Good collection of books (read 2 during my stay!)Would happily stay at Bari again.”

“We had such a lovely week here. It was cold outside around 5 degrees but the cottage was lovely and warm. We wrapped up and went somewhere every day, just a short drive away. Poppit beach, with a cafe which sold amazing doughnuts. Aberporth and Mwnt beaches all lovely and dog friendly this time of year.We visited Cenarth Falls which was lovely and walked from Llechryd to Cilgerran along the river. We had fish and chips from the local chip shop which were great. Coming back to Woodpecker Rest……

“Maes yr Onnen has got to be the best holiday cottage we have stayed. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and immaculate throughout. The beautiful beds were extremely comfortable. The huge garden with its comfortable seating area was a big bonus as was the hot tub. The games room was also a big hit. The generous welcome gifts were much appreciated. "The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night. The toilet also did not work properly, the flush was extremely weak. There was no way of contacting the hotel at night to sort out the shower issue and the reception runs from 3pm to 6pm instead of 8pm as stated here. Would recommend if those management issues were fixed."
