Breakfast was great. Bed comfort was great. We loved the Old English decor as well. The hotel was a great value with a great breakfast & being clean.

The room that o stayed in was charming. The staff was so helpful and hospitable. The bed was comfortable and I slept peacefully.

Hi! Decided to head to Charlottesville for a long weekend with my girlfriend and chose to stay at The Doyle. We had a great time exploring the city and enjoying the property, but we did run into a hiccup when the AC in our room completely went out. We had to switch to another room, which wasn’t ideal since the original room was much larger (though admittedly much hotter). Overall, we enjoyed the stay, but losing AC in the middle of summer definitely put a damper on things.

Adorable room and very convenient location for visiting UVA. The room smelled a little musty but was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the lights outside the room were super bright and the blackout shades didn’t really help much.

Lovely Inn keeper. Wonderful History, beautiful room and property. It was very relaxing!
