"Hotel is very run down, we waited at the reception for a bit before being seen to! Hallway and stairs are in need of a good clean and paint! Very run down. Room was freezing, no heating on. Damp on windows and ceiling and that was supposed to be a refurbished room! Needless to say we didn’t stay and left straight away! Out of pocket. Light fitting in hall hanging down from ceiling (dangerous). Hallway hadn’t even been hoovered. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!!! "

The extended daylight hours, with sunsets often after 9 PM, allow for longer sightseeing days. This season is particularly good for families looking to enjoy watersports on Loch Lomond or hiking the numerous trails in the surrounding hills.

Couples might also find May and September appealing. These shoulder months offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and often better value on accommodations.
