“Great old English inn. Very friendly staff, good food and beers. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.”

“You don't get good feeling when you get into the room and there weren't shampoo/body wash (delivered next morning). There is no reception and a call to the hotel, it was received by property manager. “Lovely hotel in beautiful location in the Pennines.”

“The ground floor apartment could have been cleaner and better equipped! The parking was tight, the upstairs neighbours were a bit noisy. The bed was comfy but would have been better if it was bigger as the rooms are quite spacious! Pet friendly.”

“The room and cottage were great. Very peaceful location to stay and explore the nearby area, including Penrith”

“Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.”

“Lovely b&b stay. Perfectly clean, attentive hosts, we wanted for nothing. Thoroughly recommended.”
