“We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. Breakfast is included……

“Although well located, our unit needed a fair amount of TLC. in particular, the sofas were very dirty. As for the beds, the mattress needed a full replacement. I had to sleep on the couch in order not to feel pain from my back. As for the service, we had a good experience with the restaurant personnel as well as the purser. But the reception employee provided a sub par service. A final word, this resort has not the structure for individuals having a mobility impairment. ”

“One of the best hotel stays we've ever had. Fabulous setting, glorious views, wonderful facilities, helpful staff. The works! Lots to see and do, but really the trick is it's OK to do nothing and just breathe. We're already planning a return trip. Honestly...look at the pictures and just go!”

“The place was beautiful and the owners were beyond accommodating. We had so much fun relaxing at the pool and going to the beach in the morning. It’s a little outside of Lagos but definitely worth the stay”

“Sehr gutes Frühstück, für jeden alles dabei!!! Es wird morgens und abends das Zimmer sauber gemacht, auch so noch nie erlebt. TOP. Da mit Kindern am Nachmittag echt viel Sand im Zimmer ist. Personal, 98% des Personals sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und Mega-kinderfreundlich. ”

“Clean, convenient location, responsive host. Dehumidifier and fan in the room helped with moisture issues described by other guests. ”

“Room clean just very outdated, was given 4 keys to unlock doors, one for front entrance door, if arriving back to hotel and nobody's there, an old style skeleton key for room door, another key for patiodoor, and a key for safe, was interesting to say the least. Staff are very friendly speak English and make you feel welcomed, also will give you help on where to go and how to get there. Area a little far from anything within a normal walking distance. Having a vehicle is definitely recommended……

“I booked a double room, and it was spacious and clean. The location is good - close to a supermarket and restaurant choices although a walk from the old town. Good for a stay if you're hiking the Fisherman's Trail although the luke warm shower wasn't all that ”

“Heel netjes. Warme huiselijke sfeer. Wel enkel een microgolfoven en een kookplaatje zonder dampkap. Basic maar ideaal om tot rust te komen.”

“Unfortunately we seem to have been given the worst unit despite all the others being empty! No heater, broken shower head, shower draining too slowly to cope with the flow, table dangerously unstable, toilet consistently running, bench sofas which weren’t comfortable at all. ”

“Pest control is a big problem. Too many bugs pests were there. Very unpleasant, distured.”
