Rooms were unique and clean. Claning staff came into our room without knowledge and threw awy items we were using. Shower head was very hard spraying and you couldnt adjust it. Eneded up using my friends room to shower. Overall it is a fun place to.stay if you like quirkiness. Pool wsnt clean but the weather wasnt conducive to swimming.

The Big Texan Motel is a shot out of the past. Rte 66 story. No elevators, unique rooms. Sign the room door or wall. If you want modern luxary not for you. Saloon door to the kitchen area and rest room. Right across the parking lot the Big Texan Steak House home of the 72oz challenge. Great food, great atmosphere great gift shop. Back to the motel, since I paided in advance I received my room number and access code by messanger, checked out the same way, never did see a staff member but they were always just a message away if you needed help. Stay a night enjoy the Rte 66.

Loved this motel! So cute! Comfy beds, loved thatvthe vanity area was seperste from the toilet and shower area. great shower head, room had great amenities (mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, nice desk area, tv with plenty of channela, and secure wifi). Loved the western decor! And it was great having a nice restaurant to eat at just acwalk across the parking lot. Would stay here again next time i am in Amarillo and highly recommend.

Ants in the room. Great looking pool shaped like Texas, unfortunately it was filthy, no pump running, full of trash and leaves, and chunks of tile falling off. It’s a shame to have a cool feature like that and then let it deteriorate.
