Issues started with check-in, as the staff was confused by the Expedia billing receipt I showed them. The ice machine and vending area on our floor was being renovated (this is a fairly new building, but cheaply constructed). We received a handicap room on the end corner, on the third floor. All night long we could hear everyone around us and the street noise was terrible. We each got about four hours of sleep. The handicap shower leaked all over the bathroom floor (we showered standing against the inside wall to prevent the water from flowing out of the shower - it did no good). We cancelled our second night reservation and stayed elsewhere in Frankenmuth (very expensive to change to another hotel). We won't be back to this Holiday Inn Express.
