BAD: Cleanliness, housekeeping was poor, reception staff were unhelpful, no bar after 10pm, no info regarding the hotel in the rooms, inadequate lighting in rooms - very dingy, no mirror in room, hairdrier was in bathroom and totally inadequate for longer hair, wallpaper peeling off the walls, 1/2-used toiletries in the bathroom, coffee not re-stocked unless requested, no fridge in room - and cold milk request was refused.
We arrived after travelling for 10 hours, at 5.30pm. Our rooms were not ready (promised at 3.30pm) & reception could not say when they would be ready. They were unsympathetic to us & told us to wait in reception. The people before us, who I believe had booked 'superior' not standard rooms like us, were offered complimentary drinks during their wait - we were offered nothing but a cold shoulder!!! The auto check in was a joke - the computer kept saying no, it did not recognise our booking. House keeping staff will not make the beds unless all personal items such as nightwear are removed from the bed - it took us 2 days out of our 5 for them to tell us this, increasing our dissatisfaction with every complaint we had to make.
The location of the hotel is the only thing that has lived up to expectations. We felt like the staff did not want to be there, and they certainly did not want any guests to be there. The whole experience was very impersonal, with contact with guests kept to a bare minimum.
Very poor value for money.
