"This was our second stay. We love the camping environment. The great outdoor kitchen and a bed. It was still pretty hot on this stay, but we found the Bonham reservoir ( it’s 15• cooler up there, but a rough road). We love getting away there. It’s nice to spend all day together in nature and we came back better for it. We have noticed that rocks that surround the property get hard on the puppy feet after a day. So we may try dog shoes there next time."

"I don’t even know to describe this stay aside from heaven on earth, at least for us. Rooms are fabulous, the setting is wonderful. It’s still being built, that wasn’t an issue for us at all but could be for others. Come with food as it’s very remote but has a wonderful kitchen, there is a small farm shop if you get stuck."

The Stone House Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Every now and then you find a rental at the intersection of charming and perfect. This was one of those situations. I've travelled a lot and this was a unique property. Plenty of useful cookware and supplies, a well-appointed bathroom, and delightful bonus movie room. This was also the first time that I've ever seen chilled beer mugs in a freezer ready to go. I enjoyed perusing the DVD and book collection, but you can also log in to a streaming service. All my needs were met and the hosts were highly responsive to inquiries. It would be an ideal romantic stay for couples visiting the area. I would note that the bed was a queen size? Not sure there was space for a king size bed though. That would be my only comment."
