If you like walking, continue your day by taking one of the several trails along the coast and enjoy some amazing views. Hike to Anse Mamin, another lovely beach in the area connected to Anse Chastanet beach via a coastal path. In Anse Mamin find numerous wooded trails to explore.
The beach is privately owned by a luxury resort, but even if you are not a hotel guest you will be welcome to spend the day and snorkel in the designated area. After a relaxing morning, have lunch in the lovely restaurant on the beachfront and enjoy a cocktail at the bar. Taste the famous burgers of the Jungle Grill and Bar, located on the nearby Anse Mamin Beach. You’ll also find convenient restrooms near the beach.
For a bit of history, visit the 18th-century ruins located directly behind Anse Chastanet’s second beach. It used to be an old French colonial plantation. Hire a tour guide to learn about the plantation’s interesting past.
Reach Anse Chastanet beach by road or by sea. If you are driving you will find that the route to the beach is narrow, quite bumpy and steep. Rent a boat or take a water taxi from Soufrière if you prefer to avoid traveling by road.
