“Excellent place to stay with a family, our 3,6 and 11 year olds loved the outdoor spaces, the gardens and play areas are fantastic and the lounge areas are also great for families. The room was a good size and the dining room had great food at decent prices, esp as kids eat for £1! You can walk directly from the hostel to many different paths into countryside or dovedale. Our family loved this place, I highly recommend it.”

“I really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and overall we had a very good experience. The inside was above our expectations. The rooms were newly refurbished, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen and dining areas were also really nicely done. The beds were comfortable and everything felt fresh and well looked after. “This property is beyond a ten in every way, it is everything an English country cottage should be. The village is delightful and the local pubs and people are very friendly. Lots of lovely walks. We were sad to leave.”

“Clean and basic. Friendly staff. Just the location is a bit out of the way.”

“Lovely holiday get away, horse stables on the working farm was lovely, was a shame my maltipoo dog did not feel the same way. Great value for money. Bottle of wine was very much appreciated.”
